What Are You Looking Forward To?
I have a (partial) meniscal tear in my right knee, and like you, I won't have surgery while carrying so much extra weight. It would totally defeat the purpose!

What Is The Average Weight Loss?
Oh, I have NO regrets about this surgery. I'm just impatient, and like instant gratification. I know things will work out in the long run...I just have to relax. HA!

Who Have You Told?!
I told a choice circle of girlfriends, 3 co-workers, and assorted family. My husband has told everyone else. Thanks.

What Is The Average Weight Loss?
I was sleeved on July 3rd, and have lost a whopping 15 pounds! (lost 11 pounds pre-op). When does the 'great melting' take place???!

Omg My Tastes Buds Change
I feel the same way. I'm not bothered by the fact that I don't care about eating. However, I do have to take in all the proper nutrients, so I read labels carefully, and avoid 'bad' foods. I love being able to drive PAST McDonalds and not be tempted by the quarter pounder with cheese, and a fry!

Omg My Tastes Buds Change
I am 1 month post-op and hate eating! I don't crave anything, don't look foward to a particular meal, etc. I used to love scrambled eggs with cheese. Not anymore...they are like lead in my stomach. I eat for nourishment, not enjoyment. Crystal Lite is saving my life! I love the natural tea with lemon, the orange, and pink lemonade. I was getting sick of plain Water all day. Sigh...

Protein Pills Or Shots?
I am one month post-op, and today is the first time, the protein shake made me queasy. To day, I was able to drink them without a problem....then BAM! UGH! Now I have to eat more meat (something I never really did before surgery). When I was able to drink the shakes, I added black decaf coffee to give them a mocha flavor. This really helped to add flavor. Good luck!

Tell Me Your Favorite Post - Op Snack?
Melon Almonds...I especially like these for the crunch-factor since I no longer eat potato chips

Too Small
While I was a 'normal' child/teen, like you I cannot envision being SMALL. I mentioned on an earlier post that I am 52, and have been fat for about 27 years or so. The fact that I don't even really like food or eating anymore is CRAZY!!! So, yeah, I will learn to deal with being called TOO skinny!

Does this include your pre-op diet (if any)?

Yippee!
I will try those tactics. Anything to get out of this stall.

Bored With Food
I no longer enjoy food. I eat for nourishment, alone. I suppose I will have to do something to make sure I get in a sufficient number of calories and proteins. sigh...

What Do You Wish You Had Done Differently?

Grocery Store Melt Down..
Tonight, I realized I don't even like to eat anymore. I had 3.5 oz of fish with crabmeat, and just couldn't get excited about it. It was a chore to eat! Eating is something I do for nourishment...not pleasure. I guess this is better than focusing on the next meal all the time. I went to the grocery store this afternoon, and all I bought was meat, cheese, fruit and crystal light! Wooo, Hoo!

Who Just...
95lbs...WOW!

Life After Sleeve
While it is important to be aware, educated and informed about the surgery and all possible problems...don't let the anxiety cripple you. Just do what the doctor and nursing staff tells you, and you'll be good!

I Was So "disappointed"
I think I am the only person who doesn't have a cache of smaller-sized clothing...I have been this size for approx. 25 years, and I am now 52! Oh, I have a few items that are a size or two smaller, but nothing for "down the road. Oh, well...happy shopping!

Melon?
I am a month out, and I eat cantaloupe, watermelon, and honeydew. For awhile, it was the only thing I could really eat without pain. Like Sunny said, very refreshing on a hot summer day.
