  1. About a month and a half post-op. My Burping was bad the first few weeks after my surgery but they seem to have subsided a lot.
  2. Banded 7/3/2012 and as of today....down 64lbs!
  3. Same here, got my first fill today .5cc they did numb me up too and I had to drink water to see if was too tight. All around not a painful experience at all!
  4. I am 5 weeks out from my surgery and I was burping like crazy about a week and a half ago, but it seems like it has gone away. The only time I feel 'burpy' is when I first get up in the morning and my tummy is empty.
  5. Was banded July 3, 2012, and as of today I am down 57 lbs! Gonna work hard on the next 43 so I can make it an even 100.
  6. Hvae not had my frist fill yet...though, in my first month I have lost 51 lbs! Still a bunch more to go!
  7. I'm 4 weeks out and for the past few days I had the 'brick' in my stomach feeling. I think its just gas because I am burping like crazy!
  8. I am 1 month out today, had my surgery on July 3rd. I was fine up until last week and was pain free, when suddenly I woke up last Monday with a lot of pain in my abdomen. I could not move without it hurting. But its slowly faded over the past week, now I have very little pain. My doc said that I might have overdone it as well and pulled on my internal stitches.
  9. Anyone ever experience whne you eat or drink something that air bubble feeling as it goes down. Seems like the past few days I have had a lot of trapped air in my tummy. I took a drink of iced tea and it almost came back up on me until I let out a huge burp. I am 3 weeks out and hope this will pass.
  10. Mood swings, heh. During the liquid stage I had a very short fuse, I was grumbly, depressed and just generally unpleasant. It did pass though, trust me after the surgery, you will be glad for the liquids.
  11. Thanks all, I am still in shock over losing that much, I've never lost more than 20 lbs. on any diet....ever. Plus, it might help that since the band I have like zero appetite, its weird.
  12. Was banded on 7/3, had my first post-op visit yesterday. Down 51 lbs! But I still have a long way to go.
  13. I hate that! My son and I made a joke of it. I call it America's Favorite new surrpise game. 'That Wasn't Gas.' Since I started I had a few emergency washings, but your body settles down, right now its reacting to the sudden change of diet.
  14. I am 3 weeks out since my surgery and all I do is burp, burp, burp. Seems when I eat something I burp a lot after, like the foord is forcing the air out, Gas-X doesn't touch it.
  15. I was banded on July 3rd and today I had my first post-op visit. Although I have a slight infection, which I am taking anti-biotics for. I stepped on the scales and I am down 51Lbs!!! I almost fainted when I saw the scale stop a lot lower than I had expected. But I am a real big guy and have a bunch of weight to lose. Say so long to the 600s. I am so happy I could just burst. I still feel a bit weepy over it.
  16. I was banded on the 3rd of July and my port area is sore as well, Its not weeping just really sore all of a sudden, I perhaps thought I had overdone it.
  17. I'm two weeks out today and I feel really good, no pain at all. I'm really surprised how fast I bounced back from the surgery.
  18. I've not had any bread since I've had my band in. Its only been two weeks, but I'm nervous to try. But, you have to try all kinds of foods to see what you can tolerate. Some people can eat bread, rice and all kinds of thing others can't touch.
  19. I got to start my mushy foods today, had some scrambled eggs this morning and they were awesome. Not feeling too much restriction yet, but I have not had any fills yet. Trying not to overdo it. If I ever have to drink another Protein shake it will be too soon....lol!
  20. 2 weeks out today, So now I get to eat some real food. Mushy food....but real food. After a month of liquids I had scrambled eggs this morning and they tasted awesome.
  21. I'm 2 weeks out today from my surgery and though I am still sleeping a bit longer than usual. Its amazing how good I actually do feel.
  22. My doctor told me it will take at least 6 weeks to fully heal from the surgery, so give yourself som more time. I sleep a lot too.
  23. I just got my bill from the surgery.... $31,266.89. We shall see how much Medicare covers, I'm on disability. I almost fainted when I saw it...lol. Its only 3k less than what I bought my house for 20 years back.
  24. I bought chewable Multivitamins, I bought the ones for kids because they had the same stuff in them and were $3 dollars cheaper than the 'adult' ones. So it looks like I have fun animal shapes for the next couple of months. How long do I have to keep grinding up my pills? Forever? I know Vitamin pills are big but what about asprin or other pain killers?
  25. A little humor...for my fellow bandsters.
