I think most of us understand exactly what you're going through, we all fall down but we get back up

Kekeboo got a reaction from dylanmiles23 in Hungry much more frequently -- is this normal?
Are you getting enough protien? atleast 90g per day? And are you drinking enough fluid, sometimes when we think we are hungry we are actually needing fluids. Make sure it's sugar free.

I have only lost 50 lbs in 7 months, but you know what, I lost what I committed to lose. I could have lost more if I would have followed 100%, that doesn't mean my band failed nor me, it is what it is. You get out what you put in. People just don't get that. While I am not 100% perfect band patient I take full resposibility for that.

You might still have some swelling but I think any fish is one of the easier things to eat. Give the swelling time to go down.

I am very surprised about the salmon. That was one of my first soft foods. I know everyone is different. Good luck.

Good evening
I just bought at Target, adult gummies fish Oil by Nature made. They don't taste bad. I just don't like gummie candy. The jar was $10. where I live. Also where I live, Boston area, Target takes other store's coupons. I had a $3. coupon for the fish oil from BJ's and Target took it.
Good luck with finding the right fish vitamin.

I love your statement "To accept that I am worth this."
I am brand new lapband. My surgery is February 11th. I've read a couple of your blogs. Please keep going. I'm so concerned about the menu part and feeding my family at the same time as I restrict what I eat. When members like you post their menus, it gives me ideas.
I can't really give advice on the 2 pound weight gain, but congratulations on the overall 30 pound loss!

Kekeboo got a reaction from destynee1 in Saturday, January 5 Menu plan
Cheryl,
I get what your saying. I didn't put in there, but the mayo and cream cheese i use are the light ones. It's not as much fat. The cheese is not, the commissary what out of the 2%, but that is normally what I buy.
Kca1fan: those muffins are awesome. I can only eat one, they are very filling to me.

Getting protein in does not mean you have to have lots of fat. Eating so much fat just for the protein will not help you lose weight. Just sayin.

This is great, but you should also keep track of your food diary on myfitnessplan.com. If you're not already using it, you'll love it. It tracks your caloric, protein, fiber & carb intake.
Good luck!

Kekeboo got a reaction from ieottorimari in Computer Is Fixed...back To My Menus. August 5, Todays Plan.
I was banded on July 16. I began posting my menus a few days ago so would be held accountable and for any feedback. I am still in the learning process, but I am constantly on the computer researching menu plans for lap band. I am a planner, without a plan....I eat a bag of chips. So far so good, I have followed the diet completely.
Good luck, have a plan for the each day and know that this is possible!!

I was wondering about that. When I added everything up it didn't seem to be enough calories, but the protein was good. I worry about too much protein, I had a kidney disease and have to be careful with that. I do plan on adding some steamed veggies to the mix tomorrow and tonights dinner.

Very inspiring. I am only on week3 but it's very encouraging to see the successes of others, as well as thier failures. It makes this journey more realitic.

I don't know anything about your case, but for me, my nutritionist told me not to drop below 800 calories because I could put my body into starvation mode and not lose weight.
But go with what your team told you. It sounds like you are getting it down to a science. Kudos to you!

Not sure about any of the other stuff since I'm not banded yet (aug. 23) but the Lipton Diet Mixed Berry Green tea is SOOOO yummy. I buy it all the time now and that's all I drink besides water w/ Crystal Light. I've now cut out all soda from my diet and haven't had soda in almost a month. I'm not even missing it. I love the tea!!!!

I couldn't wait for mashed potatoes. I just bouught the ones from the deli, already made. Just needed to heat them up. I savored every bite. Especially having been on liquids for 4 wks. I think u can also have scrambled eggs, egg salad, tuns salad, cottage cheese, etc, can't u? I could on the soft diet.
I've never heard of making mashed potatoes with cream cheese. Sounds good, actually
Enjoy ur food. Glad to hear ur progressing

It sounds to me like you are right on track with introducing foods. Your meatballs and steamed veggies sounded good! I buy the morning star veggie meatballs and love them http://www.morningstarfarms.com/morningstar-farms-meal-starter-veggie-meatballs.renderImageText.html?BID=121211&MD5=5327d3f7243ac5bc9bacc38ab7cc9e48&FT=MorningstarFarmsMealStarterVeggieMeatballs_28831&productORrecipe=product&freeTextPresent=no

Enjoy those soups while you can because they'll be nearly a food of the past once you start feeling restriction. I so miss my soups at lunch. I love the beef and barley, southwestern chicken w/rice and fajita chicken soups. But, they're slider foods now. Oh, sometimes I'll have one but the penatly is that I'm still hungry an hour later since they don't satiate me and I guess they never did.

Awesome, your walking on the trea mill will pay off. I started out just walking in my neighborhood and than progressed to my treadmill and than to a gym working out with weights. I can now do things I never thought I would be able to do. Starting an exercise program early is so key to your success. Keep the positive attitude and making sure your getting your protein. In the early stages prior to your first fill it is normal to feel hungry. Best of luck to you.
