Macho Cheese Doritos
Jr, Just don't do it, not this early out. Now is the time to learn new Eatting habits, after u hit goal then u can on occasion go off and eat some junk food. The first six months you want to invest in weight loss and changing the habits that created our obesity. Good luck, think positive and skinny thoughts

Diabetes
Hey Msvickee, try not to worry. I haven't heard of anyone getting diabetes after vsg. My honest opinion is you're okay but I'm not a doctor and checking it out is a good idea. For right now, stay positive!! Hormones can cause skin discoloration, I got it a lot and our bodies are putting out tons of hormones right now. I'll be praying for you! Keep smiling, its going to be ok *hugs*

Questions For First Consult! Ideas?
Hi Sannah, Im almost 4 months out but I still feel like I just got my new sleeve. After your surgery always remind yourself that you are healing and the struggle is temporary. You will temporarily have to be consumed with treating your body very well and giving it what it needs to heal. It does feel over whelming but it helps to remember its only for a little while. If you start to mourn your old life style thats okay too but I promise you that as time goes on you will be so happy you made this decision. Another thing is try try not to obsess over the scale and never compare your journey to others. I believe as much as we all share on our journey, each and everyone of us has an unique journey so love yourself and think skinny thoughts! ps... it really really is a tiny tiny amount we can eat before getting full so trust your body, if after a few tiny bites your feeling it. its time to stop. even if it seems you just began hehe I feel that way every meal lol best of luck to you!!!!!!

Questions For First Consult! Ideas?
Hey I feel like I should have asked more actually. My surgeon held a seminar before I made my appt. And that was very informative. I was just so excited to be there lol... I hope you get some good answers, one thing I forgot to ask and later was curious about, was the bougie size. Also I asked about the medicines I was taking and if they were ok to continue before and after.

Pickles
I had pickles chopped up in my tuna. I didn't have any problem but a quick call to your drs office might ease your mind.

Smoking After Surgery
I totally understand, I quit about 5 years ago because I was getting bronchitis and pneumonia all the time and quitting was so hard and I didn't have anything else going on in my life like major surgery and life change. It was hard, hard but I did succeed and my lungs got better, thank goodness. I have faith you'll be able to do it when you are ready. Just always remind yourself you're strong enough and you can do it, if needed.

Damn U Ambien
I agree, try to get something without the sleep eating side effect. That is too dangerous for us sleevers! So glad u woke up, hope youre doing okay.

Did You Get A Dvd Of Your Surgery?
My Dr. gave my mom pictures of my surgery. Everything he did, and she threw them away saying I wouldn't want to see that it was gross. I was like whaaaaaa? Thanks mom (not) -__-

Smoking After Surgery
Quitting smoking was one of the hardest things I did, I hope you both have success giving it up. I know what helped me not do it was talk about how badly I wanted to do it. Really weird I know but try it? Your becoming healthy with your weightloss and now is the perfect time to quit so try whatever means you can! Your both in my thoughts!! Keep trying

When Will I Start To See My Weight To Drop.
What is your pre op diet? My Dr. had me drink two protein drinks and one lean cuisine for one week and the second week I could have only three protein drinks a day. I could have water and sugar free popsicles but that's it.

The New Whey Protein 3.8 Shoot
It's great! It has no taste at all, I really like it. I have it and some whey protein isolate powder and I really prefer the egg white protein powder. Thanks for the answer! I've been worried about it.

The New Whey Protein 3.8 Shoot
Ahh well that is sad, so many people are being mislead. I thought they were at least good for someone. -__- What a terrible product. I did want to ask you, OTR, if you knew if Jayy Robbs egg white protein powder is okay for us sleevers. I've been using that under the recommendation of my NUT, but I can't find anyone here who uses it. Do you know if its ok to use as a protein supplement?

Oh, Ok, Well That Isn't Dumping Then!
I'm sorry you're going thru this with limited help. It seems like it is very serious. That reading is extremely dangerously low. Please consult with someone at your drs office. Something this serious could be devastating if not taken care of, wishing you the best!!
-
The New Whey Protein 3.8 Shoot
I think they are fine for non-sleevers. The product is only non- beneficial to us sleevers because we can't break it down.
