Help! Soda During Pre-Op Liquid?
The pre op diet doesn't exclude diet soda so yes you can have them pre op if you really feel it is helping you stay away from food. Just remember after surgery no matter how much you think it will help with something, it is a no go. You might try resisting now to help after surgery but the most important thing is, don't drink them after you are sleeved ( for any reason) better to be safe than sorry:) Best of luck to ya!!

Medication
You are not suppose to take calcium with your vitamin. It most likely is that, also you should switch if prilosec to night time, it hinders the bodies ability to absorb our vitamins. Take your calcium two hours apart from your vitamins. Good luck I hope this helps

I Think I May Be A Little Nutritionally Deprived...
I've heard that when a person is low in serotonin and dopamine their body will crave/need carbs... Maybe you have a few things going on; it seems you already know you need to up your caloric intake and up your carbs with your exercise routine. You should start that and see how you begin to feel. If you increase your intake and still are feeling down/weak and such perhaps contacting your Dr about your med. dosage would be your next step. Good luck on this and keep yourself in good health ))

Question About Drinking And Eating
my doctor says we can drink up until we eat but not during or 30 minutes after. I know some doctors say 30 before... I have done both and it seems if I wait the 30 minutes before I fill more comfortable when eating. honestly I sometimes do wait and sometimes I don't but I never drink with my meal and always wait 30 minutes after.

So Coffee?

So Nauseated 2 Days Out
hi katie I understand how you feel but you made a life saving and life changing decision so you will now live a full life with your precious lil one. It is hard in the beginning to keep things in perspective; we all struggled in the beginning but its a temporary time given for a lifetime of joy. You can do this... remind yourself the reasons you did this. I buried a friend at 41 from a heart attack and she had two children. Saddest thing in the world to experience children saying goodbye to their mother while they are still children. Be proud of yourself..you are strong...get through this temporary period and prepare for happiness to come. Drink your water, walk and follow your doctors instructions as you heal. If you still are feeling like this give your Dr a call ... they know what your going through and will help you. and we are here for you as well

So Nauseated 2 Days Out
I'm so sorry. I'm not sure what to suggest. I did read on here that warm tea helped soothe peoples tummies. Is that an option? The smell of peppermint always helps me, could someone get you a sugar free peppermint? Just don't swallow it. Also clear that with your drs. first. Pain medicine can keep you naseaus. I really hope you find some relief!
