Good for you, you hardly had time to think about it or worry about it. Most of us started back in May or June and are not having surgery till Nov. All those test you talked about were stretched out over a few months. And now the anticipation, worry, should I still do it. See we have too much time to think. You are a very lucky girl. Best of luck on your speedy recovery.
  8. May God keep you all safe and out of harms way.
  9. I'm the same day also. It seems unbelievable and scary at the same time. Wish you best of luck.
  10. Hi everyone, Just went to my surgeon to sign the papers and was given a bunch of papers about what to do 2 weeks before surgery and then after. Bought the bariatric Vitamins and shakes for pre-op. I have been on this web site for over 4 months faithfully reading all the posts and comments. I thought I knew what I was getting into but now I am not sure. I am really confused. It seems I will be eating and drinking all day long the first 2 weeks after surgery. Then heaven only knows. My husband is against this and said yesterday "Are you sure you want to do this?". Now I don't know. Since I left the doctors office I have done nothing but eat. Please help me.
  11. I too need friends. I have a date for surgery Nov 28. After 5 months it is getting close. I have no support in my life. My husband just ignores the subject and the only thing he said was what about me. What am I going to eat? I think he hopes I just don't do it. I have been a recluse for awhile so not many friends left. My sons are around but then again they are sons. I have serious medical issues and that is why I am having the surgery in hopes of getting my life back. Hope you get a date soon and best of luck.
  12. Mine also was a 90 day NUT. When I finished all the tests and everything within that 90 days, then was told I had ro wait another 2 months, Dr was backed up.In 3 more days it will only be one month. Time does fly.
  13. Every time I see one of your posts I see your smiling face and remember how excited you were to get this surgery. I am so sorry for all the pain and agony you had to go through. Now hopefully everything will go well and you will lose the weight and all this will be a distant memory.
  14. Yout post is very hard to read. Try larger type without the black.
  15. Good luck. I will pray for you.
  16. I already had my date of Nov 28 but then just a few minutes ago got an e-mail with the time of surgery 9:30, somehow that made it so real. Says it will take 70 min. (too real). Yours is only one week away. Did you have do a pre-op diet? Best of luck and keep us informed on how you are doing.
  17. Terry, You are doing fantastic in just 1 year. Can you give everyone any tips?
  18. I have a vitamix from years ago. It doesnot really juice which is what I bought it for at the time. I since have bought a NINJA also and it is so much easier to use and much easier to clean. It is also 1/5 the cost.
  19. I also am scheduled for surgery Nov 28, 2 days after my 66 birthday and 1 week after Thanksgiving. So I called all my immediate family and scheduled a Thanks giving at my house on Nov 11, before my liquid diet starts on the 14. Most of the time they have to come over for awhile and then go to other family members houses, now I selfishly will have them for the whole day yah! yah! I am trying to make this into a positive thing to get me through the holidays. Maybe by Christmas I will be able to eat some blended turkey and gravy. Also will be well enough to leave for a warmer climate which is what my husband (who is totally against this surgery) wants to do. Good luck to all of us doing this at a very hard time of the year.
  20. Good luck to you in the rest of your journey. You gave me as much needed laugh when I saw your before and after picture. Very unique idea!!!!!!!!!!
