  1. I put it in the crockpot on low for 4 hrs but it doesn't take that long to be done
  2. Liz, you are in my thoughts and prayers! You have A LOT of prayer warriors! Keep your head up sweetie! Xoxo
  3. 1 package fat free cream cheese 1 package taco seasoning 1 can chicken breast 1 can rotella 1 can drained chili Beans Great crockpot meal with lots of Protein and freezes great too! Enjoy!
  4. I bought the inserts from his office they were only $35 and they feel great just from the 1 day I've wore them. He put me on a steroid pack to decrease the inflammation and Celebrex to keep it down. Now that I'm sleeved I can't take NSAIDs however Celebrex is one that is approved for sleeve patients.
  5. Went back to podiatrist today for a follow up. The tape worked in one foot while it was on but not the other. So, he gave me orthotics for my shoes and prescribed a steroid pack and Celebrex. I have to stay off my feet as much as possible for 6-8 wks. Bummer so much for cardio.
  6. I feel your pain! My daughter was 18mthswhen I got my band and then had to have neck surgery a month later and was in a collar for 8 weeks. I basically just had to have her climb up on the couch and give me loves. It's so hard. Just remember its harder on you then her. When I was sleeved my now 4 yr old daughter keep asking if my stitches were still in my belly and she told EVERYONE that I had stitches in my belly. Even strangers and people I didn't tell. from the mouths of babes. Get better, it will all be worth it when you can actively play with your little one!
  7. My cousin (not really cousins but long story she has NO family) whom I was practically raised with lost her 41 yr old healthy husband Sunday to a massive heart attack. She has been one of the few who stuck by me when I lost my fiancée several years ago. We both have a lot in common and this was the one thing I never thought we'd have in common. I'm so heartbroken for her. I'm leaving Saturday to go spend 4 weeks with her. Furthermore, one thing of many that keeps going through my mind is that all these years my husband and I have been so unhealthy and look how soon even the healthy can go. Although, these past few days, I have eaten nothing but garbage whether it makes me puk or not and most of it does. If much rather be resorting to the gym during this time but my dang feet are taped up and I'm supposed to be staying off them until I see the dr Friday. What I'm saying is, why am I resorting back to food? Yes I'm going through a lot, but why this is torture! I'm so disappointed in myself that I don't want to eat and then I found Reese's prices in my purse from the movie I took my daughter to and of course I had to have some! Errrrr
  8. I'm 7 wks out today and down 53 lbs, 37 since surgery. I've been stalling for two weeks now. I joined a gym however haven't been yet as I have Planar Fasiitis and my feet are taped up. I go back to the dr Friday and hopefully the tape will work. I went and bought a few outfits that actually fit and aren't baggy and now I feel fat again. .
  9. I went to the podiatrist today. He diagnosed me with Plantar Fasiitis. He wrapped my feel in funky tape. It feels like a cast around my ankles and bottom of feet. Weird, but I have to leave it on for 3 days and return to his office Friday. He told me that it doesn't matter what type if shouts you wear that it's hereditary. So, now I need to find some good shoes to help relieve the problem when I walk and that Will allow me to exercise without foot pain. Glad I'm on the road to recovery!
  10. I'm new to all this, but I think there's a way to add other people's blogs??? Help a sister out! Http:/sleevesister.blogspot.com
  11. BBQ chicken sounds good...can't have cheese, yogurt, or ranch...thanks! Ill take all the ideas I can get!
  12. Help! Okay so I have the lactose intolerance since surgery and I'm so bored with the same foods that half the time I don't bother eating. Oh also...I'm super picky. Here's what I eat...egg scrambled. Egg salad, canned chicken breast with Italian dressing, tuna, and pesto chicken with goat cheese and sundried tomatoes. I'm so sick of the same things anyone have suggestions? I go threw spurts where I don't really care what I eat as long as I get protein, but now I'm going through what I hope is a phase where I want to enjoy what little bit I can eat. I'm a few days shy of 7 wks post op.
  13. Your going to feel sooo much better! Keep your head up! You know where to go for support and prayers from people who understand! Please keep us posted!! Btw, when was your 1st sleeve surgery? Praying for you!! Your Sleeve Sister, Julie

  15. I've been taking capsules and pills since post op day 4. I take 5 if them in the am and 6 in the pm. I can't eat anything for about an hour before or after. I can barely eat but I can get down my pills...go figure. I was taking my Norco after surgery in pill form because the liquid wouldn't stay down.
  16. Yeah I'm sure that will be something I need to do. All I own is flip flops. Going to buy sneakers tomorrow. Any brand better than others?
