  1. Anyone have problems with lactose? I took all milk products out if my diet and I feel amazingly better! No nausea at all today and I'm able to get in more. I'm going to try the lactaid pills and see if it works since I'm a super picky eater. Although I had to stop all dairy when I nursed my kids, I'm more limited now with the sleeve.
  2. We tell our pregnant patients in L&D to take Flintstone vitamins if they get nauseas... I take them and they seem to help since the gummies didn't go down well. Maybe try that.
  3. Sleeved Oct 16th down 42 total, 16 preop, and gained 1 lb this week. Since spending 3 days in ICU after surgery I have been in the ER twice and was admitted for 4 days this week. I get about a 1/2 ounce of full liquids at a time and struggle with fluids. In addition, also had uti and kidney stones. Edg showed that my stomach is very narrow and irritated so I'm in fulls, Nexium, and compazine until it resolves. Getting healthy for me unfortunately has not been as easy as having the surgery, but I'm getting there.
  4. Thank you for you thoughts and prayers! I was re admitted Monday (3wks post op) and came home last night. They found that my stomach was very narrow and irritated, in addition, dehydration, uti, and kidney stones. I was treated and sent home on Nexium and Compazine . I have set my alarm every two hrs so I remember to eat.
  5. Thank you! What site did you order it from?
  6. I've seen some post about unflavored protein powder and I forgot....what is it called? Where do I get it? How much protein? Is there a certain amount you have to mix it with?
  7. Alicia, I felt the same way. Emotionally miserable. Unfortunately I can't recommend anything because the only thing that helped was time. I take meds for anxiety and have "break through" as needed meds too, I took them e dry day for a few weeks and I rarely take them. I wish I could help more I feel your pain. This too shall pass. Hang in there sleeve sister! Ill be praying for you! Julie
  8. Jealous! When were you sleeved? What are you looking forward to eating in this next phase that you haven't had yet?
  9. LOL you got it!! Thanks for the prayers!!
  10. Thanks for the invite Jonathon! On another note, my surgeon called this am and I am being admitted to the hospital for a few days. He said I need thiamine and lots of fluids. Not just the few liters they've been giving me in the ER. He thinks that will help with the nausea too, but the kidney stones also cause me to be nauseas too. So, well see! Praying this gets me over this hurtle and that I pass the stones SOON!
  11. Ok your my "friend" now ill wait for invite. Thanks!!
  12. Spent day in ER getting hydrated again. I still have to see GI Thurs to get answers on my intake (or lack there of). However, I also have kidney stones. that maybe the cause of the nausea but not so sure of the fluid and food intake. Ill keep y'all posted! Thanks again for the prayers!
  13. I was sleeved 10/17. I have already had to visit the ER for fluids fortunately the Gatorade is keeping hydrated just enough. I am constantly sipping except when I eat if course. I tried going back to fluids but the nausea is better when I eat even the little tiny bit I can. I thought maybe I was just afraid if the consequences if I eat more, but nope I tried and get the uncomfortable feeling and wanted to throw up. I have been casually walking but nothing fierce because my dr told me to wait 4 wks. I'm not nearly as miserable as I was. Last week the nausea was out of control. But I'm def not getting in anything close to what I should be. Thanks for the prayers!
  14. Gee I can't even get 2 oz a DAY let alone at one time. I put everything I had today into mynetdiary and I only had 67 calories, 1 protein, and that includes my fluids (still on Gatorade)! praying nothing is seriously wrong. I see GI on Thursday.
