I know a couple of females like your friend. For this very reason I decided not to share with them what I was doing to lose the weight. I am just going to show up healthier and that is all that matters to me. Sorry that you cut ties with your friend but sometimes it is needed. A friend loves you the way you are and does not feel better when they are stepping all over your feelings....
Good luck and I believe you will reach your goal

Nope you are not the only one I am 9 weeks post-op today. I have lost 42 pounds and continue to have stalls but I am still losing major inches all of my clothes are falling off me. I can look at myself naked now and not feel nauseous...(lol). Even tho the scale is moving the inches are falling off.... Don't say only 30 pounds because that is still a major accomplishment. Start working out if you haven't already and continue eating right and the scale will start to move again....
    Wishing you the best

No you are not crazy you are just ready to complete the process!~ I had something much worst happen and after all of the frustration it finally hit me.... EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON! Take this time to just get all things done for the pre-op diet, post op, hospital stay, taking to family members about helping with your little one while you are in the hospital! If you haven't already. I was put off for weeks and when I say weeks it was probably 8 weeks from the time the paperwork was finally submitted til I ended up being approved for the gastric sleeve!!! Believe me in the end all things worked together and I came out with a better surgeon and the sleeve! It will come together don't get discouraged and get ready because it will be hear before you know it!!!! I am not 15 days post-op and doing great....Praying that they get their stuff together for you and just be patient... it is well worth anything you are feeling right now....

I am so sorry that you are having a difficult time and I pray that you began to feel better really soon. As long as your not taking in enough fluids, you will feel bad and your body will let you know it. I know it's hard trying to force yourself to drink especially when it causes you to dry heave. Having no appetite and being sensitive to smells makes it extremely difficult to put something in your mouth. Are you dry heaving from reflux? Are you just simply feeling nauseous? As hard as it may be, you're going to have to force yourself to eat and drink. I agree with the earlier posting suggesting that you try some carbs, some sort of caloric intake is necessary. If all else fails, buy some unflavored Pedialyte. They also have the pedialyte freezer pops and powder packs. The makers of Pedialyte also make EleCare in an unflavored powder, this is usually given to babies who can't tolerate whole protein. Ensure makes a clear and a high protein shake, but they still have a milk consistency (if that thickness bothers you, then they might not work). At least if you use some of the pedi products, you may be able to mix them in water and make it tolerable. Source Naturals also makes a Pea Protein Powder that most vegetarians use, it's not milk based or made from animal products so it will be easier to tolerate. I suggest purchasing some of the Pea Protein Powder and pedialyte. You've got to get your fluids and protein in order to start to feel better. As far as the depression goes, it's understandable with what you're going through. You are human and we all experience these emotions. Do not make any DNR decisions while you are in this state. I haven't been sleeved yet, but from reading posts on this forum, I can safely say that things will get better. I have read numerous post where the writer spoke of feeling depressed and wanting to give up because they were feeling so bad, but if you continue reading they always spoke of turning the fence and feeling so much better as time went on. It's still early on so don't beat yourself up to bad. You know that with God, ALL things are POSSIBLE!!!! Keep the faith Jesus says, "if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you" [Matthew 17:20. Remember, we are all here for you, and I just as many other people here on this forum were placed in your life for a reason, lean to God and lean on us! Praying for your speedy recovery!

Velena sounds like you are already off to a good start! It is completely normal to be nervous about surgery. It's awesome that you have your husbands support that is criticial during this type of process. My surgery is Sept 10th and I am on day two of my pre-op diet... Looking forward to my new lifestyle and you will be fine. Update us after surgery...

It is a choice that you have to make just like I am striving to stay on the diet strickly you and I both need to stop smoking. I love the DARIUM clove cigars (BLACK) I feel your pain but I am going to give it my best effort to stop... Noone said it was going to be easy but we can do it!!! Keep in touch and sending you positive vibes and thoughts as I have wanted to hit somebody all day because I want a cigar...

I's soory she's acting like that towards you. I really wouldn't want ot connect with a friend like that agian even after you lose the weight. First it foremost is says that she's not really your friend at all. Good for you for not dealing with that foolishness anymore. you need all your time and effort to go towards your new life of healthy living. Good riddens to her and GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

Hopefully your friend comes around and you two reconnect. We need our friends and have to love them through their faults. It is disappointing she has responded as such but a lot of times people don't know what to say and what comes out is stupid. I hope it works out as I know the VS will work. Take care of yourself because the road may get a little bumpy before you reach your destination. Got to focus on you now. Good luck and remember, you deserve this!

WOW that has to be a wonderful feeling! I am so looking forward to that feeling... I feel like a bottomless pit...the only time I can remember not being hungry is when I was taking appetite suppressants!!! Just to wake up and not be overcome with hunger would be a miracle to me too! Wishing you the best of success on your journey.

Congratulations on getting your date! I got my on Monday and September 10th it is!!!! I am like you so excited and trying to make sure everything is taken care of on the job. I called today and started the process today regarding STD and FMLA. I am covered both ways. Although people say you can go back after a week I am not sure if I will be ready so it is better to be safe than sorry! Wishing you success on your journey and we will have to keep in touch. It has been a long process but I can say definitely worth the wait...

    Hello MrsCastello,
You have to do what you feel within your heart is right for you... I know it may sound somewhat taboo but it's true. What is your mind and heart telling you to do? I don't know if you are a spiritual person but if you are pray about the decision you are making and ask for peace because from what I am learning on the forum this is a total lifestyle change. You have to do this for you and strive every day to live a healthier and happier life. Like yourself I have tried on my on and it always comes back to haunt me by gaining all of the weight back. At this point in my life I am tired of being sick and tired...
Sounds like it is time for some soul searching to make sure that the decision you make is the RIGHT ONE FOR YOU.
Best of success on your journey
