Im 5'1 Im down to 210 Sugery is Monday! I go for my Preop appt tommorow

My weight right now is 212 so anyone with a low bmi? How much weight should I anticipate on losing?

I dont go to the dr on the regular but the insurance calls for 3 year of being overweight. And in 2009- I was 180 at 5'1 and it climb steadily the next few years to my current weight 209 my dr said that he would write the letter and he needs photos so I havent always had a bmi of 40 but pretty close. I am finding my fattest photos. Has anyone had to do this? I hate insurance companies

correct you should definitley move past them any real friend would want their friends to be healthier. sad

Hi there I am 5'1 at 209 and they need your BMI to be 40 to qualify for with no pre existing health conditions. So im right there on the line 39.5... so I wore weights. Hopefully it worked for me... All I have to do is get the letter and photos from my primary physician. And hopefully I am approved. This doesnt make any sense to have to jump through hoops. Now I am eating to keep gain the few pounds I've been wearing to visits. Rgggh Story of my life. I am ready to get Slim and Slim for life. My thighs can not take rubbing together another month... My coordinator said my surgery should be next month. If you guys know of anything please let me know. Miss V.

It seems like as I approach this surgery this reflux starts to get worse. WIll it gett better or worse. And How long does it take for BCBS Alabama to 'approve surgery. once all documents are recieved.

I have a very attractive female friend who always loves to get the attention. When I was slimmer she couldnt light a match to me but when I blew up like a balloon that seemed to make her happier or less say feel superior over me. I hate I told her about the surgery now she is always saying ."You can loose that weight your just lazy," or when "people see you they must associate you with food." All that smack talk from her has made me resent her and unfortunatley cut all ties with her. I cant wait to have this surgery and be smaller than her. LoL I'm just venting. Im 222 5'1 My goal weight is 125!!!!

I am approaching my last month for supervised diet and my weight has actually increased. I will have to meet with my surgeon on the 4th of Sept and the meet with the nutritionist. I think this whole insurance red tape is just a mess. I am 222 at 5'1 but I smoke they told me to stop smoking 8 weeks prior to surgery. I just stopped yesterday I dont smoke cigarettes, I smoke black and mild cigars once a day and its the short cigar not the standard size. Will they be able to tell with a urine test. Can I just tell them I stopped or how long does nicotine stay in your system? ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ?
