  6. I drank a couple of cups in the morning per-op, but now I don't seem to want it. It didn't taste right.
  7. Doctors are a very personal & individual choice. That being said, I would never have any surgery done in Mexico. For those of you who do, God Bless you and I hope it turns out well. It seems there are many people here who are happy & had positive experiences. I paid $13K for my sleeve in DFW where it as done at a great hospital only three miles from a level one trauma center. However, when I was 33, I had gall bladder surgery that turned into a 9 month ICU/ re-hab ordeal. So I view surgery different than most. Good luck to all!
  8. How did dollop turn to Fallopian???? Hahaha
  9. I buy the lentils, chick peas in the microwave pouches. I eat half with a Fallopian of Greek yogurt. Yummy! I think tasty being is the brand.
  10. I am down 30 pounds. All my 18/20 stuff is too big & I don't have much stuff smaller. I'm happy to send a box of stuff to a couple of folks & would love some smaller things! I live south of DFW & was sleeved on 3/23.
  11. Steam a cup of broccoli, add a cup of milk, 1 scoop of chicken soup unjury & blend. I add 1/2 scoop cheese unjury or shredded cheese. Yummy!
  12. What about pumpkin! I used the canned & added vanilla protien powder, cinnamon, & cool whip. It is good.

Try the liquid stevia you find at most health food stores. The plain & the flavors are good.
  14. My NUT said its not the straw per see, but its easier to gulp with it. Use it like a sipper it should be no problem.
  15. I had lots of abdominal adhesions, so things were intense during surgery. Thought he might have to do an open procedure. I had a drain due to the bruising & manipulation required. Big hassle but worth it. Came out on day 10. Yuck!
  16. Three weeks & 30lbs for me! Good Luck!
  17. I also add diced up boild egg to my soup for the same purpose.
  18. I am worried about support, but also feeling like a sausage!
  19. I am down to 213! Last time I lost this much weight, I had a baby!
  20. I add it to healthy choice soups or to warm water. It is pretty good.
  21. Am only two weeks post-op & have lost 22lbs. I feel like I need some kind of support under garments to " smooth" things out. It's a long time till I can even think about a permanent solution. I even feel like I need a smaller bra. Any suggestions?
  22. I add an orange protein shot. Every little bit helps! I am addicted!
  23. Try hot herbal tea with flavored protien shots and Splenda or stevia. A little protein is better than none.
  24. Had surgery with Dr Kuhn at Medical City in Dallas. I won't go into it here, but I have a very complicated medical history & could get no one to agree to try to do my sleeve laparoscopicly. Praise God, Dr Kuhn not only tried, but succeeded! Granted, I had a bigger incision & a drain, but only two days in the hospital & I'm doing great! Down from 234 to 219!!
