I called Anthem BC today and was told I was denied. It was determined medically necessary but more information is needed. Has this happened to anyone else?? What else could they need? Anthem told me to contact my dr's office to find out what was needed. Its a holiday weekend and I wasn't able to reach my coordinator so it will be Tuesday before I can find out anything. Has this happened to anyone else??/

This squeaky wheel got in touch with another coordinator and will be submitted tomorrow AM!!! The other coordinator responded within 10 minutes of my email. She is awesome! I am back in love with my doctors office. Thanks for letting me rant. I was at work and trying not to having a toddler melt down.

My coordinator was supposed to submit to insurance last Monday 8/20. I followed up with insurance today and they haven't received anything from the doctors office. I called my coordinator and she is out until Friday. I am so frustrated!!! I was supposed to have vsg in September. Now I am wondering if that will happen or do i need to start this process over with a new doctor???? I just want my life back!!! I am tired of feeling like i am being held back due to my weight. Thanks for letting me rant..lol

I am waiting too. It is so difficult. I have called daily and sent an email too. My bmi is 52. Here's to waiting on our approvals patiently.

My pulmonary test was just breathing into a mouth piece very quick and easy. I also wore a pulse ox over night. It sounds like yours is quite a bit different. Sorry i couldn't be more help.

I met one of the coordinators at my doctors seminar and have been working with her. At my appointment I found out I have another coordinator. She is so slow to return emails and forget about a phone call. Should i ask if i can have the other one back??? My questions were simple...what is the phone number to enroll in a class. She left the number off of my paperwork. I don't want to be a pain but if i email or call I hope for a response quicker than 4 days later. What would you do??? Will I need my coordinator after surgery? I

Congratulations! I know you are excited! I will finish all of my pre op appointments on Thursday. I am sooooo excited and can't wait to get my date.

I hate to shave! I am still pre op and looking forward to shaving without breaking and sweat and getting out of breath. Ahhh the nsv that i am looking towards.

The forums help alot. All the big and little questions seem to get answered. It helps talking to others that are going through the same process as we are.

Next Thursday i have my psychological evaluation, dietician appointment, pulmonary and doctors consult. After that i am finished with all testing. I am ready to be on the losers bench!!

I can't wait to get my sleeve! 60-80 pounds loss in six months sounds like winning the lottery to me.
