i feel bad
getting upset and crying wont solve anything and it may make you feel worse and then you may say WTF and have a good ole eating pity party. welcome to my former life. so woman up.....eat your portions as your doctor advised you. stop eating at 1 cup (eat Proteins, veggies and fruit) and drink alot....and stick to it... if you do that, you will do well and lose weight.

How bad is it?
your never alone we've been there/done that and sometimes still there. i say if you want something eat it (after your post op healing is completed). we are not on a diet so no need to deprive ourselves. i never liked wings (as i cant picture their little arms a flapping)... LOL

Have you noticed...?
you know i think maybe they dont know what to say?? i am and was very insecure and the friends/family that knew me knew how i was and by saying (anything about weight/dieting etc) would upset me so they didnt. not everyone knows of my surgery so some dont say anything and i am cool with that. ..i think that eventually people will acknowledge your great loss...but up until they do, you keep on working it. because as long as YOU know, that is what matters in the long run isnt it?? YOU

Fat free VS Sugar free?
fat free (still has calories) and that can make some people think they can eat more as its got no fat..but 3500 cals is a pound whether we drink it or eat it...as far as SF, def read labels. anything ending in ose, use is sugar..

I don't understand
i feel you flo and i am so glad to know you and call you a friend. i get pm's also and answer and then after i offer whatever i can to encourage or suggest, its crickets. i guess sometimes i hit a nerve with my straight talking no BS answers, but i wasted enough time with doing that. so, not much we can do. so on behalf of everyone, thank you for being you and encouraging everyone on this forum. whether or not some thank you or not, i sure do. so please accept that from me on behalf of those who do not say it.

Motivation....I believe we can motivate ourselves and succeed
the only thing i can offer (besides my unwavering support) is want power. you must want to lose weight bad enough to do it. (following your dr's instructions, eating better food and exercising). i dont believe in will power. i can will myself into just about anything but wanting something..that is different. find that want power deep inside and then just do it. no excuses. no drama. no BS. want it bad enough to do whatever it takes to get it done. and then do it.

Need Inspiration..how Much Have U Lost?
not so much what i lost as a inspiration, but what i have gained because of what i have lost.....i gained my esteem back.....i am not as insecure as i was of my size...i gained back my mobility, i also gained back my self worth....so yeah, i have lost some serious weight but what i gained was finding myself again. and that rocks.

Pressure to lose weight
mads is correct, let the band work...go on this forum and read some of the success stories. not just the ones who lost alot of weight, but the ones who have changed their life...it doesnt matter what your friends/family or whomever says...if you want this surgery, go with it with all your heart and do what you have to do to make it work...you will not have surgery and wake up thinner...you have to let the band work.. best in whatever you decide.

Long list of no-no foods
no foods should be off limits you can eat what you want in smaller amounts but def make an effort to eat better foods (proteins, fresh fruit/veggie def stay away from as much processed as you can..gram is right, a visit with a nutritionist will work wonders

Will I Ever Hit the Green Zone
i dont have fills and i am not waiting until i get to that green zone to lose weight..so i am eating now as if i am at full green zone ...def eating only my allotted amount (1 cup of food). and eating proteins first, veggies and fruit..i feel its a mind over matter for me at this point.....measuring and weighing is important..do it and see if it helps..my dr advised me 70+protein per day...but every dr is different...if you dont know what you should eat, maybe an appt with your dr or nutritionist would help you

Starting over.... Again
this forum (as well as aj) has helped me more than anyone knows it makes me feel never alone so you start over..so start it doesnt matter what you did, it only matters what you DO beating yourself up over whatever only brings us more down and we are down enough on ourselves dont you think?? so start...eat better, eat smaller amounts, move alittle bit and drink more...everyday is a new day and today is a perfect day to begin to make yourself well

Messing up with chocolate arrr
a couple bites of chocolate wont hurt..remember we are not on a diet so nothing is off limits...so if you overdo it (one day per you) then just walk alittle farther, or ease up somewhere else cal wise..but def dont beat yourself up.....or you can just say no or take one a day so you dont feel (deprived).......but i have SF hot chocolate here at work when i want chocolate or just drink one of my Protein shakes.. i do miss those pnut butter cup minis though.....
