  1. dont think that but i think that also just because the scale is not moving as quick as yo'd like, i bet your rocking it out.. just keep going, its happening
  2. well, just go and do it eat better and be positive..you are the only one who can do this for you. you deserve it..so start now was that okay??
  3. the pain around the port hurt me the worst..it wasnt brutal, just uncomfortable...they cut you skin, sewed a plastic thing to your muscle, so yeah its gonna hurt, be sore, a pulling sensation and then tender as it heals,,,mine stopped at a month out.. if you are concerned, the other girls are right, refer to your dr always
  4. itchy means healing...perfectly normal...
  5. i use a small salad plate and a small bowl when i eat (at work also) but use reg sized utensils...thought about it in the beginning about using wee ones but never did. screw what anyone thinks, do what you want if it works is how i see it
  6. well (soup) is liquid so i am sure it was okay (the fill will swell so if any clumps, it may hurt going down)..but for real, i have read your posts since you started and you need to focus on doing what is right so you can be a success..follow the rules.. you went through alot to have this surgery..you deserve to treat yourself better...your are your queen i appreciate your kind words, but if i dont follow the rules, i will be back over 300 like that....hang in there rhonda
  7. well, there is no wrong or right foods only better choices.....by choosing to eat (bad, high fat, high calorie) you will not lose and could very well gain...you need to eat veggies and fruit and lean proteins in small amounts (stop eating at 1 cup of food)....junk food is junk...that is what got us all to need wls in the first place.. you can read on the internet and on this forum what to eat, suggestions, guidelines, there is no excuse to not know...so start today by believing in yourself...leave the junk foods where they belong, on the shelf at the grocery store.
  8. outstanding jeannie and 100% dead on: So for the rest of your life, you will have to treat your band, and your body, with respect. That includes careful eating, every single day.
  9. as always b.......honest speaking and telling it like it is... you have always inspired me and i dont see that changing anytime soon. your are right,,and i wish people would just LET the band work
  10. k6, we were banded the same month like the other great posters here, we made a huge change in our thinking and eating...how is your food?? the band is not about doing without you are not a failure and i wont allow you to say that..so stop eating the crap food and change to better/healthy foods....if you cant eat, maybe a slight unfill..you need to be able to drink and eat comfortably.. please believe in yourself..you cant do it unless you do that
  11. what a fab post a great read i soooo enjoyed this thank you for saying what needs to said it needs to be read it needs to be acknowledged and accepted and done you are correct, the band just wont do it for you thank you for making my day

  13. crystal light for me.........i found peach ice tea is my saving grace
  14. well, yeah i think so if you go to the website. www.tricare.com, it lists the qualifications
  15. i think it was......tricare super easy started at end of feb, banded in beginning of june would have ben sooner except the new girl at dr forgot to have me do the sleep test so i had to wait til it was completed...

  19. no idea..i did ask my dr what band of band he used (he prefers the allergen) so that is one i have placed on my tummy. its a 14cc. never thought to ask him why he chose that size
  20. the band is expected to last forever. it will aid us to lose weight...if used correctly, the success is incredible. def research on this forum and online of the good and the bad and all that it involves as its not easy. not sure of the overseas aspect as that doesnt concern me much as did me finding an excellent doctor, nutritionist and office staff who offer support and guidance. that being said, it works if you let it.
  21. i love reading your blogs. its like i am right there with you going through this incredible with you..thanks for opening up and sharing.
  22. TMF good looking and smart.....wow, best of both words
  23. the band ((wont stop you from eating esp at the beginning)) and if you keep eating wee amounts and going paste the 20 min mark, then yeah, you can overeat more than you should.... some people lose faster because they were larger then most when we started..not fair but its true..sorry...but dont let that stop you...and biscuits, although awesome as i am a true southern girl, is not what i call a great food for banding....not filling at all...... the band will help you eat less but its up to you to eat better foods.
  24. dont worry about no one but you as that is what matters they are them and you are you and me is me etc.... you have this awesome thing to HELP you...so give it time...follow the band rules..yeah its not easy but once you find that want power, you will start seeing you are so glad you got this.
