  1. Omg I went in 2010 and had a blast! I love her. That's a great reward! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  2. I know when I reach my goal weight I'm getting a Michael Kors purse. I don't really have any mini-goal rewards. I'm already really good at loving myself and showering myself with gifts
  3. That's good that you still lost after the holiday. I had my first gain but I'm not worried about it. It's my TOM and I didn't drink enough water over the weekend. I was out of town and ate all kinds of bad food. I only worked out twice last week. My elliptical is supposed to be coming soon so I will try to get on it everyday.
  4. Did they fill yours up with something? Mine looks flaccid compared to yours. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  5. Here's mine. I requested a picture cuz I'm weird like that Sent from my iPhone using VST
  6. Ok thanks I will try that next! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  7. So I'm still not regular. I'm 8 weeks post-op. I tried the stimulant laxative and get mild cramping. I tried to stool softener Colace thinking it wouldn't cause cramping and I woke up in the middle of the night with severe pain and spent a lot of time on the toilet Any suggestions for something that won't cause cramping. I'm miserable
  8. I understand. My PCP is the one that suggested I get the sleeve. I will tell him I went to Mexico and then tell him I'm going back to BCBS Federal because the nutritionist was incompitent and unprofessional and that's why I never got an approval with Kaiser. I'm down 36.4 lbs total which includes my 10 lbs pre-op.
  9. Also, did you see your PCP for your blood work yet? I made an appointment for next month. I should have tried to schedule it earlier so it would be right at the 8 week mark.
  10. Good job! I lost 4.2 this week. I think because I started back having a protien shake in the mornings. I only got in 2 workouts last week, but my brother got married Sunday and I danced the night away, so I'm contributing my loss to that. I, like you, also do not count calories. That is not a way of life. I eat what I want in small portions. I was away the whole weekend and I think I did pretty good considering the fact I ate nothing home cooked. The hotel had breakfast and I had sausage and a french toast stick, or greek yogurt and strawberries. I had half a piece of cake and half a kiddie portion of frozen custard this weekend. I feel really good and I got a lot of compliments about my weight loss. I ordered an elliptical machine yesterday, I have always wanted one. I can't wait to start! Keep up the good work sleeve sis
  11. Good job! I'm still losing slow as well. Down 2.8 lbs this week and that was with 2 workouts. I'm really trying to bump it up. Keep up the good work!
  12. Good job on the weight loss! Mine is slowing down too Down 1 lb this week. I am going to start my exercise plan tonight.
  13. Well it had been a week and I've been eating solid foods. I was just concerned so I took the laxative. Pre-op I would at least go once a week or I could eat a big meal to get things moving. I can't do that anymore. My colon has always been weird. My pediatrician had me on laxative drinks and enemas when I was little. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  14. Ok, thanks for that info. I suppose it was fat, it looked like a cross between fat and mucous. I took the stimulant laxitive with senna. I might look into taking other types if I get backed up again.
  15. So I have never been considered "regular" pre-op. I'm almost 6 weeks out. I was going pretty regularly until last Saturday I ate something that gave me diarrhea. I hadn't been since then (yesterday was a week). So I took a laxative last night and just went. My BMs had like white fatty stuff around them, kinda looks like raw chicken skin. WTF is it? Should I be worried? Help!
  16. I tried using one this morning for the first time. I'm 5 weeks out. I knew I needed more protein. I drank a Premiere shake, it took about an hour but I had no problems. I couldn't stand drinking it without a straw.
  17. The Dollar Tree is also a good place to check. I got some 1 oz containers, 10 for $1. Can't beat that!
  18. Yes. I do. I still make too much to write anything off. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  19. I asked my accountant this same question in February. He told me that you can only write off the amount that exceeds 7.5% of your income. Apparently a lot of people took advantage of this rule and they changed it recently. I make a lot of money, so I can't write it off, but it's still the best money I've ever spent! Good luck!
  20. Well today was my weigh-in. I'm down 4.4 additional pounds. So I'm not too thrilled about that but I have lost a lot of inches. I don't measure, but I can just tell by looking at my body and how my clothes are fitting. I'm probably on a stall too while my body catches up to the weight loss. I'm ready to start working out now, my energy level is good. Keep up the good work!
  21. Topamax is the worst! I was seeing a psychologist and I gained weight on Lexapro and Abilify and he gave me Topamax and told me to just eat fruit all day and one meal at night. WTF. I think I was only on it for one month and felt soooo stupid. I heard it's also called Dope-amax. In my line of work I can't afford to be that stupid. So I tapered off and never looked back. After the majority of my life struggling with weight and pills, I never want to take another "weight loss" pill again. So glad I'm sleeved!
  22. Hey sleeve sis, I missed reading your blogs. I missed 2 weighins so I can't wait until tomorrow Let's see, while I was away, I brought protein shakes home but was soooo sick of them. I moved to creamy soups and blended food about 4 days early. I pushed the limit with "soft" foods and ate 3 bites of lasagna and threw it up out my mouth and nose. Yuck! And I tried Mexican food and it literally went straight through me. So I've been eating all safe foods since, just plain meats, cheeses, yogurts, soups. I did have slivers of cakes and half cupcakes while I was home, and didn't get sick. My mom noticed the two weeks while I was home that I'm slimming down. Yesterday was my first day back at work and my size 20 slacks were falling off me! I haven't exercised yet, but plan to get back on my Biggest Loser for the Wii next week. I still can't believe how full I get off of such small portions. I love it!
  23. My dad was so happy to hear I decides to get surgery. He knew that I have struggled with this battle all of my life. I just wish he was around to see when I get to goal. I know he would be so happy for me. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  24. My father passed yesterday evening. We all knew it was time and he was tired of fighting. He suffered a great deal. It's funny I used to be a stress eater. Now no appetite at all. I will try to get as much Protein as I can. And Water. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  25. Thanks everyone for the well wishes! Sent from my iPhone using VST
