  1. Thank you guys for reading! I have called and can't get in before my appointment, so I am waiting and doing my best not to blow it completley!!
  2. I have an appointment on the 21st, but I hate to wait that long when I know I need a fill now. I will be patient, but I have gained a few pounds. It is so hard to get it off, I hate to gain back any. Sigh, the process where you are not yet in the green zone is hard. I do so well, then things loosen up and I stop losing then I even gain a little. I hate those mornings on the scale and would gladly football that darn scale through the house. Yes, I can be very childish at times. Anyway I will be patient and try not to damage the rotten scale until the 21st then I hope I will get a fill.
  3. I am a self payer. I found out that the surgery and one year follow up was 14500, here in Arkansas. I saved half and financed the other half. If you are self pay you do not have to go through any of the other stuff insurance requires you to do. Basically you go to a seminar, sign up for an appointment. See the surgeon, Pay for it and get it done. It took maybe two weeks. I know it is hard to come up with the money, but when there is no option that insurance will pay, then you take matters into your own hands.
  4. I would say you need a fill.
  5. I have seen the chocolate with chilies at walgreens. I thought yuck lol
  6. https://www.download-free.com/office-suite&source=ga You can download open office from this link
  7. I blew it so bad yesterday!! I am owning it and moving on, what can you do besides get up brush yourself off (crumbs) lol and move on today will be a better day!!
  8. It is hard for us all at times and I am sure you know what you need. I will say good luck you can do this.
  9. Didn't you just say you had a bad period, couldn't it be a bad bloat? Plus different scales? Don't get too broken up about it just keep on keepin on!! We all have bad days and you get there!!
  10. Wow this is amazing!! Thanks for sharing.
  11. I took the two weeks cause I needed it, if you have the sick time I would suggest the whole two weeks. Lots of people go back after a few days, but this is surgery and you deserve the time to heal.
  12. I am a large woman, and losing weight is good for me, but I will always be 5 ft 8 and at least medium to large boned. I am ok with being bigger than other people. I just want to cure my diabetes and be healthy. Being slimmer is hard to see, I have lost 35 so far and I still dont see it. I do see that my clothes are smaller lol I always think they will be to tight, and usually they are too loose lol It is all in the way we are use to seeing ourselves. I know heavy women who have lost weight and still ramble along like they weigh 300 pounds.
  13. That is how the lap band works, slowly and the reason the restriction seems to loosen up is you are losing fat around where your band is. It is normal to have to have adjustments, you have lost a lot be proud of yourself and keep after the goal!
  14. Dont be discouraged early bandsters, you know until you reach the green zone it is gonna be slow and sometimes not happening at all. We will get there!!
  15. I am three months out and have not dedicated any time to exercise, I know I must at some point and I have a home gym, but I too have never been much into exercise. I need something to motivate me, maybe when the scales stop moving. That will motivate me to start. I have dvds and all I am just lazy. sigh....
  16. I took the whole two weeks recommended by my surgeon off and I am glad I did, I had a hernia repair done at the same time and I was really sore. Glad I took the time off to heal my brother passed away the day after my surgery, so that too was a part of my recovery.
  17. Hi Yall, Thanks for reading my post. Ready for my journey to be, we were all nervous when we started, but keep in mind what this will mean for your future!! I wish you both all the luck in the world and know you will get what you want out of this journey!! Good luck right back to you!!
  18. I am now down 34 pounds!! so it has been 3 months and two weeks, but it is steady! Slow is ok as long it is steady. Just think if I continue at this pace in another three months and two weeks, I should be down 68 That would be incredible!! I am so hopeful!!
  19. You will probably have to be on liquids for a few more days after too, broth will be heavenly!
  20. I use either muscle milk light or proti-diet protien drinks. Depending if I want a shake type drink or a fruit type drink.
