  1. Growling is normal, I still have it along with occasional hiccups.
  2. My doc said at least 10 days. Got impatient and hot tubbed on day 9. It was amazing.
  3. I use a straw and have no problems what so ever.
  4. My daughter graduated from trade school Tuesday and they had a potluck and she asked me to make my kahlua orange fudge cake which I did. Wednesday night I had a little sliver with cool whip. Not going to lie, it was amazing. Totally beat myself up afterwards but have not had any since and there is still some left. Before surgery I would have have a couple of pieces a day and not thought twice about it.
  5. I too was sleeved on the 19th and have lost only 12 pounds and have been at the same weight for a week and a half. I'm very frustrated, I thought I would have lost alot more by now. I have 180+ pounds to lose so I thought it might come off more quickly in the beginning. I am super thankful that my surgery went flawlessly and I have had no problems, no pain, no vomitting.
  6. I have a glass digital one that is branded from the biggest losers. It is actually within a half pound of the one from the doctors office. I think target has them.
  7. I am with you all, just finished week 3 and have only lost 13 pounds since surgery. I am frustrated and wonder if this is really going to work for me. It also doesn't help that I have bronchitis too. I think I'm a little depressed. I was so excited to get the surgery and just watch the weight drop off and it just isn't happening. I think my expectations were way tooo high.
  8. Congrats! I have to say you are sooo pretty! And you definately look years younger now. I'm only 3 weeks out but hope to have the same success that you have had. Amazing transformation!
  9. I must confess...three weeks out and I had four pop chips. OMG they were amazing!
  10. OMG you look fantastic! Totally 10 years younger! Congrats on your hard work.
  11. If you do a brunch you could do a crust less quiche. Very simple and easy to get down.
  12. Day two was the worst, 17 days out and doing great.
  13. This is so funny, I weigh every morning and we're away for this weekend so no weighing till Monday morning. I hope I survive. Maybe it will be good though, I'm in the dreaded week 3 stall and am really down on myself.
  14. I'm glad I'm not alone. I had surgery on the 19th and I'm down 12 pounds and it seems to be stuck there. I'm headed back to work on the 23rd and was hoping to be down a bit more. At my weight 12 pounds does not show and I don't want to have to field those questions and looks from people who know what I had done and can't tell any difference. I feel like a failure at this point.
  15. I had done Jenny Craig back in 91 and I lost 80 pounds and kept it off for a year, then I got pregnant with twins and blew it all to hell. I went back twice after that and could never get the same results. I ended up gaining it all back and more. I was sleeved 3/19 and I know I have made the best decision of my life. No more yoyo diets for me!
  16. It depends on the person and your weight. I am supposed to get 100g and let me tell you it is tough to get that much in.
  17. Hey Dooter - yes I had postponed due to a house fire and I'm really glad I did. I was so not ready emotionally in February to go through this. I'm in a much better place now.
  18. Checking in...I am 11days out and down 10 pounds since surgery. On full liquids and can't wait to move to the mushie stage. Surgery went great and have had little to no problems with it. I keep waiting for something to go wrong. Need to get my butt out and walking, I just don't seem to have much energy. How is everyone else doing?
  19. I am one week out today and have to say I have had a very easy time with this. No pain meds since getting home, no gas pain, no incision pain, no throwing up, I get most of my protein drinks in and getting closer to all of my water intake too. I have one more week of full liquids and can't wait to start adding a little substance to these meals. I know is sounds weird but I can't wait to get some Wendy's chili and puree it, oh heaven help me!! Okay, I have to be honest here and admit that I have not started really walking yet. Oh sure I walk around the house and up and down the stairs but to really get out side and walk 30 minutes still hasn't happened. Gotta find my mojo...has anybody seen it?
  20. Saturday is my bday and I will have just completed my first two weeks post op. What suggestions do you have for a fun "meal" for that special day???
  21. Thanks for all the support. I called my surgeon and she had me go to the ER and I have bronchitis. Got cough meds with codeine and liquid Zithromax. Hopefully will start feeling better soon.
  22. I am five days post op and have come down with a terrible cold and cough. Any suggestions on liq meds that I could take to help with the cough? This is killing my new incisions.
  23. I has surgery on the 19th and I have a cough too. I ended up coming out of surgery with the worst sore throat I've ever had and they wouldn't let me drink anything till 24 hours after the surgery. I actually feel really good except for the stupid cough.
  24. Hi everyone! I had surgery on Monday morning and should be heading home today. Tuesday was tough, I didn't feel very good but today I feel so much better. I'm keeping down 4oz of liquid every hour now. They brought me yogurt which I might try but am very afraid it will hurt. I have been up walking laps and have only had a tiny bit of pressure in my shoulder due to the gas. Feeling very fortunate and can't wait to get home to my own bed.
  25. Well here it is Wednesday morning and I'm still in the hospital. My blood pressure spiked yesterday and I was running a fever. It's almost 4am and i feeling much better. I should be heading home today I hope.
