I am five days post op and have come down with a terrible cold and cough. Any suggestions on liq meds that I could take to help with the cough? This is killing my new incisions.

  • Thanks for all the support. I called my surgeon and she had me go to the ER and I have bronchitis. Got cough meds with codeine and liquid Zithromax. Hopefully will start feeling better soon.

I would check with your surgeon and see what he might suggest.

Are you still using your spirometer? Running a fever? Are you sure it isn't pneumonia?? I would call my surgeon's office for instructions.
