  1. WOW! I love this post!! You've nailed it on the head!!! I play this detrimental games with myself as well!!! And I'm still searching for why I 'sabotage' myself...I know mine is due to my self esteem. It's like I don't think I'm worth it or something. I've let others make my decisions for me in regards to what I put in my mouth for far too long!!! I have a terrible TERRIBLE food addiction and I've been trying all my life to conquer it. It's not just the TASTE of the food, it's the feeling. I dunno how to explain what I'm feeling. Thanks for this blog...these are the kind of posts that I'm hoping give me the empowerment to continue on!!!! Happy new life!!!!

    <br>Thanks girl!!! You're right, I totally would have usually eaten it all!!!! So far today, I've done well. I'm about to leave for my study group and am armed with baby carrots, coke zero and water!!! I'll check those sites out...sadly I have not joined the smart phone community :( maybe one day. For now, old school for moi!<br><br>

    As for websited to track food - I love livestrong.com. It is free. Lots of people in this forum seem to like myfitnesspal.com. they both have apps for smart phones to make tracking even easier. <img src="http://cdn.lapbandtalk.com/public/style_emoticons/%3C#EMO_DIR#%3E/smile.gif" class="bbc_emoticon" alt=":)"><br>

  3. sounds like you need to get more healthy snack in the house. There are all kinds of ways to fill the cravings. Nabiso has the 100 cal snack pack, skinny cow has 100 cal ice cream bars, special k has cracker/chips that are low cal and then there are a lot of low cal bars. I have a recipe for a low cal chicken chill I keep made up and in serving size portions in the fridge. Also laughing cow cheese or cheese sticks, the list can go on and on.

    I agree. I do keep fruits and such but the bad stuff is sooooooooooooo appealing. You may say, throw it out. Nope, can't...I have a house full of peeps that aren't eating as healthy as me. But you're right, pay day is Friday and I plan to stock up with some healthy alternatives to grab if I have the urge late at night!!! Thanks!!!


  4. That's fantastic!!!! Once you get your fill, that will go away and you'll have the 'full' feeling so practice eating slooooow! Find a great alteration lady; she'll be a must have to prevent spending countless dollars on new clothes that you'll be replacing in another few months!!! Keep up the great work!!!


  5. Great job! I call those the 'decades' like you were in the 60s (think of Austin Powers, shag baby!) and now its Elvis and poodle skirts! Congrats on a new decade...I was even thinking of picking out a costume for a Halloween party I am going to based on my decade...no one else would get it but who cares?PS:Stay off that scale a couple of days so a normal tiny fluctuation doesnt put you back in the 60s and ruin your day!

    I love this idea!!!!
