Is Anyone More Emotional About Their Weight After Surgery?
sounds like a case of the shoulda, coulda, wouldas. of course none of us would have gotten ourselves into this predicament on purpose but we always want to blame ourselves. I wonder if that is the cause of the tears? You are here now, you've had surgery, new life is on the way. don't let the old image of yourself sabotage this new life. You can do this!

Introductions
I think the "bucket list" is a good idea. As you lose weight it can be checked off, that will be fun. Having some goals is good, I wanted to ride a bike(without embarrassment), wear a size 10, the 14's are getting very loose, go swimming and more. To tell you the truth, I really wasn't convinced that I would do all the things but, it is fun to work towards a goal! Good luck, keep reading and learn as much as you can. try to make some changes to your eating now, drink lots of water, start a reasonable exercise plan and you will start to feel sooooo good. this is a great site and you will read it all ( good bad and the ugly!).

yes, I had the study and have the machine. it is a lifesaver. I still need it even though I have lost weight. I trust that the test (overnight) showed that's what I need to be healthy.

Problem With Protein Shakes
he probably makes extra money from the company. did you already buy a bunch of them? perhaps you can tell him how horrible they taste and try a new brand. I love Jay Robb protein powder, high in protein very low in carbs, great flavors!

Multi Vitamin
I take liquid vitamins and calcium. I get them at the Vitamin Shoppe and my coop. Be aware that the flintstones and centrum may contain artifical sugars, which are thought to cause and continue belly fat. It costs more to get the liquid vits. but I know I am getting "the real thing" with no added sugar.

My concern for you is that you are doing it for someone else!! This is definitely for you, not Mom. You deserve to be healthy - for you. Keep reading, you will start to feel better with more information. ask lots of questions, it will give you the confidence, that you can do this. New To Lbt
Welcome and please let us know how you are doing, everyone likes to help. Remember Lapband surgery is not a miracle in itself, we all work hard for the lbs. we have lost, we follow the rules we get from nutritionists and docs. This is going to be a new life with a new lifestyle. Everything will change - for the good. We are finally eating to live instead of living to eat. As much as I love seeing the lbs. going away, I love how much more healthy I am! You can be so successful if you remember the miracle is you! I know you can be successful and we will be here to help! Maybe you already read this post, if not do. It's a great one. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/topic/146924-are-you-your-own-worst-enemy/page__fromsearch__1

Completaly Confused And Lost
Whoa, you just had surgery! Let your body heal for a few weeks. Did they fill your band when you had surgery? I bet not. That's why you are not feeling fullness. At this point the only thing to do is heal, drink the Protein shakes. They are so full of good things - not fat. Remember you didn't get fat overnight, you are not going to get thin overnight either. Slow down, don't worry, enjoy the pounds ( one/two at a time)and inches that will start coming off. This is not a race, this is your new life! Keep eating as your doc suggests, chew like crazy, eat so slowly that you can't believe you're eating! Drink at least 8 glasses of Water. Have you started logging food on an online site yet. I use Myfitnesspal.com it is easy to use.
