Got a $2,700.00 bill for fluro!
Most hospitals file insurance no matter what you tell them. Good luck yelling at them!

Chicken Broth, Jello and Popsicles
I am afraid I agree with Mis73... you will need to call and ask. Every doctor seems to have different ideas. It can be frustrating, but you best bet is do what the doc said!

My Band

Sorry to wear these boards out with posts
Floridays is right. No added stress or angst will help. I will tell you that I know the horrible feelings you are having. I told only my immediate family, husband and two daughters. On of my daugters was worried for me with the surgery, but now is very supportive. The other spend hours trying to talk me out of it and finished in a huff saying, "well I won't say any more or ask any questions since it obvious you don't appreciate my feelings." So yes, I have been where you are now. I have been successful, but my older daughter has never acknowledged it at all. I have learned to live with it. It was my choice to make, and my life to improve. I do recommend you mend fences with your hubby, but his family could be a lost cause. Stick with your program, and they will eventually see your success, but may never acknowledge it. Sorry to say that, but is is a possible outcome. I am proud of you trying to make you hubby happy. He is probably very confused about what to do now. Talking solves many problems.

Games with Friends bonus
Love it! Good plan to get your life back! I gave up the "friends" games some time ago. They only made me sit.

Liquid Diet Is Killing Me
I know of no bander who has died from the liquid diet. It sounds melodramatic bu hardly realistic. Keep on plan and this will pass soon. Do allow for the time to completely heal inside. You will be glad you did!

Pre-surgery: What great things does the future hold?
The future can hold what ever you WANT it to hold, if you are true to your band and follow the rules. Best wishes to you all. I was banded in October 2011 and in a two piece suit in Hawaii in March 2012. Mileage my vary, but yo can make significant progress towards your goals. Best wishes for all your dreams.

Need a fill, but I don't have insurance and I'm not loosing
Weigh, measure and log your food, then look at calories. I think you will be surprised. Eatiing things you know you should not will have to stop if you are serious about wanting to lose the weight. GO back to your doctor's instructions and follow them to the letter, no cheats, no buts. A lot of of us can eat things we are not supposed to... like ice cream, but it does not take a genius IQ to know that it is not a good idea if you want to lose weight.
-
SOooo. Not losing at all!
Take it one day at a time. Follow you doctor's orders and the weight loss will come. Healing does delay the process a bit, but you will lose weight if you do the right things about eating. You have to WANT it right now and push your will power to the extreme. It gets easier, I promise! Good luck!

Nervous
Best wishes for your surgery. Try to help your son understand that doing something to improve your health is in his best interests. Even my adult daughters feared for me to have surgery. When it is done and you begin to feel better, he will come around. Prayers for you both.
-
Really? Just when I thought I could get back on track!
One day a time. Each surgery is a separate event, and if you eat healthy through out it all, you dod not have to get seriously off track. Prayers for a speedy recovery.

I am starving!
Try to sip your protein shakes. The goal is not to drink the whole thing in 5 minutes. If you spread it out, 2-3 oz an hour you will be constantly adding in protein which will help with the hunger. Many of your pains sound like gas. At the cost of being indelicate, have you had a bowel movement. You could also be constipated. Try Miralax or something similar to get things moving. Constipation blockage can cause serious tummy pains. Good luck and stay hydrated.

Put on 0.5kg or 1.1 pounds :(
Try not to weigh daily. It will surely drive you crazy. Our bodies fluctuate naturally all the time.

poop
Many people have this, liquids in liquids out. Find out what to take for it so you do not get dehydrated.

Sometimes I Just Have to Say.....
No flames here. I don't understand it either.

fills to kick in?
Give it time people. The first fill is probably not going to be your green zone. Use your will/want power until you reach restriction.
