  1. Congratulations on getting your approval and date. It is a really good idea to try out the diet ahead of time and see what things you like and don't like. If you do eat food, follow lapband eating guidelines, small bites, lots of chewing, and no drinking while eating. It helps to start to practice the skills. Best wishes.
  2. Prayer going up! Best wishes!
  3. Put the exercise back in and consider making your lunches again and that should help you get back on track!
  4. Everyone has a different experience. I hope you are able to be up and around soon and go home!
  5. I was able to eat soft scrambled eggs as well. My nutritionist said fork tender was soft.
  6. Welcome and congratulations on what you may come to consider the best decision of your life! Come back often with your questions and status.
  7. I had my lap band with plication surgery in October of 2011. I believe it does improve overall weight loss.
  8. Perfectly normal and will go down as you heal further.
  9. NSVs are great ANY time of day!
  10. Janet, check out the website www.christianlanequilters.com. They sell whole cloth backing fabric with no seams.
  11. Yes, I tend to wash their fabric before using it... they have a lot of stiffener in it. Just warm Water is all you need, no Cheer! LOL.
  12. Long story Michele, but I have been there on a boat and the handle hit me in the face and knocked be down the stairs. Two bruised ribs and a black eye. You won't catch me using those suckers again!
  13. Best wishes to you as well.
  14. Log your food, even your slips!
  15. Yes, and Yes! You can do it if you want it! Best wishes to you! Don't panic!
  16. Try sipping liquid right up until you start eating, and make the first bite tiny tiny!
  17. Sounds great! Good price and I like Connecting Threads fabric. Did you order the backing material too?
  18. Take pictures!
  19. Doreen, you are the energizer bunny! Let me know what comes home from the animal sale? Where is the sale held? My nephew has an organic farm nears Warriors' Mark and frequents some of the animal sales. Mostly Amish ones.
  20. Every surgeon is different. My surgery was outpatient... surgery in the am and home by noon. Depending on how strenuous your job is one week should be OK. If there is a lot of lifting involved, you may need a bit more. Get a recommendation from the doctor at surgery.
  21. I had just questionaires and a short talk with psychologist. She seemed to want to be sure that I could describe the surgery to you and how fills are done... they want you to say with a needle. Apparently lots of folks are needle phobic.
