  1. Hello all.... internet down at the coast, I am at McDonald's for free wifi. I ate three of Franc's fries and now I have a stuck. Guess that will slow me down for while. Storm is supposed to be here at 2:00 pm tomorrow. Looks like it should not be too bad. Janet... glad the move went well. Yes, I can tell it's a novel even 4 parts! LOL Dawn, Hang in there, I think a lot of us are struggling right now. This maintenance stuff is hard! Cawa, Mini, Carole, Dee Diane.... thinking of you all!
  2. We will dose out honesty. Hang in there you are right about your mom but I don't like the thought of her at your house. You need a place to yourself.
  3. Raining now but should get a bit worse tomorrow, at least Otis not right overruns.
  4. Good morning all, expecting TS Andrea to bring rain here to the marina later. Just posted a storm warning on our web site. Bad weather seems to follow me. Janet good luck with the move, hope the rain there is not too bad! All.... BBL Love you!
  5. Will the computer genius who told me how to get this to work on my iPhone, please tell me again? Thanks
  6. Mini... glad to be with you again!
  7. Happy day to us all! Together again! Woohoo! Janet, I hope CG is not permanently mad at you. I know how bad that feels.
  8. Ask your surgeon. If he goes ahead, I recommend you hug a pillow when your cough as it may be painful at first.
  9. Way to go Steph! It is about what is right for you and not anyone else!
  10. People with problems are always louder than those without. Don't get discouraged. I am at 19 months and trouble free.
  11. Great advice!
  12. Unflavored Greek yogurt, add a sweetener to taste and 1 TBS of peanut butter.
  13. Looking good CG. I am proud of you!
  14. I agree that travel may be a distraction, but if you are going to travel during the liquid stages, be prepared to carry stuff with you to eat/drink.
  15. I also take Biotin and Zinc to help. Mine stopped dropping so fast after a bout 6 months, now it is just old age!
  16. Appetizers sizes work for me.
  17. Best wishes to you. Don't be so hard on yourself, you have made the commitment to change, now get on with it! You will be so glad you did!
  18. There should be no deny. Once you are banded and have progress to solid food there is nothing you cannot eat. Some things will be better choices obviously, but there is nothing I ate before surgery that I cannot eat now. I make healthier choices, but do not deny my cravings.
  19. Chapstick, gas-x, protein drinks diffrerent flavors, sf uncarb drinks, Mio, etc. Tylenol if you have been taking advil or aspirin you will need to stop.
  20. Doing the right things and losing is what it is all about. Congrats on your loss so far.
  21. check with your nutritionist. I was allowed 2-3 ounces of protein shake each hour in order to get up to 60 g protein. You may really be hungry!
  22. You are correct that calories should come from food, BUT.... if you should have a stuck or PB episode, you may need to switch back to liquids for a day. Also after a fill it is liquids for 24 hours. Always good to have on hand. Work well when travelling, because you can always find milk or water to mix with.
  23. I agree... Atkins are the lowest carbs, but there are a lot out there. Usually located near the protein powder. Watch for the calories though and be sure to log them.
