A New Day
No drama here... just an observation. I would not bother Alex with it. He has enough on his hands. I just thought it was kinda funny. Does not bother me at all!

A successful journey? It?s up to you.
Good article, the lap band is WORK!

Big day July 23
Talk to your surgeon about your plans for more children. It may be best to wait until you are done with that to have surgery. Decide which is more important, your health or another baby.

Incision
Wash it off with peroxide, and add polysporin. It should dry up soon! You could have an internal stitch working its way out. If it does no get better, see your surgeon!

A New Day
Dawn... sounds like you are doing much better with food and with the biking you should see some changes soon. Doreen, hope CJ get batter fast! Sick children are the pits. Carole... continued health to Sushi. She is with the people she loves. Diane... coffee's on me today! Keep your chin up! Janet... Good luck with the flooding... they also make discs to float in the Water that kill mosquitoes? Michelle, the name you are searching for is Terri! Yours in Mini right? LOL Good luck on your last term! Cawa... hope you are still rocking the band! You are our rock star! Everyone have a good day! Strength and will power to us all! Funny.... CG reports me to Alex for posting on her stuff, but freely posts on mine? Go figure!

Carole... it never gets cold enough for down jackets in my part of the state. I have heard that North Face is a good brand.

Yay! Keep up the good work. NSVs are the bomb!

Difficult time keeping to the preset diet
It's a little late to second guess the surgery. Why not instead, allow your body to heal, follow doctors orders, and decide to be a compliant patient. What you actually do is up to you, but I can tell you I would not trade my band for anything. It is best thing I ever did for myself.

How many of you have lost the sensation of hunger after having the lap band for a few years?
Still hungry after 19 months!

My lap band journey so far
Most breads are tough. I have trouble with soft breads, like rolls and loaf bread if it is not toasted.

"Stranger Here"
Sounds interesting... I will look for it!

first hot flash?
I would answer but I am not allowed!

Increasing sodium
I agree with Missy, you need to find the underlying cause. When I had this problem it was from not eating enough calories. Work with your doctor and a nutritionist to resolve these issues.

First fill
The contrast tastes like chalk, but you only have to sip a tiny bit!

Cardiologist
I had my stress test a couple years before banding. I have had no problems, but I would recommend everyone have one. It is a great diagnostic tool. Better safe than sorry!

Does older age matter for lap band surgury?
I got my band at 63! No problems and I love it!
