  1. It is a secret. One of our members can't know! I will post pix when done. Rose, Grass green, turquoise and yellow.
  2. Carole, sorry, never have had reflux, so I can't add to the debate. But I did finish a new quilt top today!
  3. Ok... still at 183, after gaining back, now on a walking challenge for the rest of June. I CAN DO THIS!
  4. Congratulations on your bandiversary and NSV! Keep up the good work!
  5. Finished Dan Brown's Inferno, now reading Steve Berry.
  6. Tracking is crucial... those little bites here and there add up fast. I am trying to keep to 1200 daily, but exercising a lot and often reach 1300. 800 is low over time you could shut your metabolism down. Call the docs office and check in on what they recommend!
  7. It seems that if all you can eat is soup you may be too tight already. Have you considered an unfill and getting more calories from solid foods?h
  8. I agree, liquids only for a day and then back to soft. If you have had your band for eight years you don't need me to tell you what to do. Slow down, chew, chew, chew and make an appointment with a local doctors to assess you band. It is your life you are talking about. Give it some TLC.
  9. No pool parties this weekend, but Dawn you are always welcome! Last I heard from Diane she said she would be at lunch on the 26th. Janet... you've definitely got quilt fever... more fabric and project waiting. Good for you! Carole, have a safe trip to GA.... wishing Seth an uneventful deployment. Prayers going up! Doreen, our hearts break for you. Looking forward to meeting your family in July. Michele, good luck with your final studies. You got this covered! If you can succeed with Lap band you can do anything! Cawa... Hope you are enjoying your days off! Enjoy the pool and life in general! Off to walk the mall with hubby today and work on our challenge for June! So far we are ahead of pace! As for the cruise weight, I am back down to where I was before the gingersnaps... and have high hope for this week. I am logging everything and clearly having a bit of a late night sweet tooth, which is odd because sweets were never my problem. Sigh. I will over come.! Happy day and weekend to all!
  10. Good night my friends. Hope we hear from Diane soon. I worry about her!
  11. Nervous+Excited=Normal! Best wishes!
  12. Are you logging your food to come up with the calorie count? How about cottage cheese? Depending on the SF pudding it could simulate a sugar high. Also I recommend taking your measurements at least every couple of weeks, you could be losing inches. Ten pounds in 2 weeks is great, so don't get discouraged. You are way too early to declare failure! Best wishes!
  13. I had my second child using only hypnosis for pain relief. It can work wonders.
  14. I would look into water exercise or recumbent bike for a while and take the stress off the knee.
  15. For the lactose intolerant, I mix my protein powders in Almond milk... tastes great, check for a powder without lactose though.
  16. Congrats on the fitting Janet. I hope it makes a difference and works for you!
  17. Romantic at heart... geek or no!
  18. Unfortunately fills will not help with head hunger. You might consider counseling for that. If you are not hungry for 4 hours, the band is working. You are supposed to be hungry, when it is time for another meal. Just try something else to do if it is head hunger.
  19. Healing takes everyone a different amount of time. Keep following the diet and log your foods on a tool like MyFitnessPal.
  20. Following the pre-op diet is important to shrink your liver to make it easier for your surgeon to place the band. Some will refuse to operate if you have not done a good job following the diet. It is just the beginning, and it may get worse before it gets better until you get back to solid foods. Make sure you are committed to see it through. Failure should not be an option!
  21. Depression after major surgery and anesthesia is not uncommon. Some people actually have a period of mourning food.
  22. Ahh... nice to look at but I prefer skilled at the surgery! LOL!
  23. Is your port on that side? Or maybe the tubing? Keep after the doctor for an answer.
