  1. Oh!!! I thought you were going to tell me you put salt in the hot tub! LOL!
  2. Oh no! Hugs, hot tea and rest!
  3. What Banjo saId. I hope you are back on track soon! How disappointing. But... as stated use the tie to start eating like you were banded and get a head start on the weight loss!
  4. Great job! Keep up the good work.
  5. You just had major surgery, give yourself a chance to recover. As you are able to eat more your energy will come back.
  6. Great news! Here's to your new future!
  7. You can go to CarolinaGirl profile by clicking on the picture. Once there you will find there is a button to send a message. She will likely answer that way. I know she is having computer problems right now, so be patient.
  8. Got my flu shot Mads... two months ago! Where you been?
  9. Lots of protein, minimal carbs.
  10. At least until you get down to 34s! LOL
  11. Some of what you feel may be gas pains... the anesthetic and pain pills can cause that. Keep sipping, and it should get better soon. Some say a heating pad helps.
  12. Not particularly painful. It is about like getting a shot. First they will locate your port, sterilize the area, then insert the needle. You may feel a little pressure. Docs vary, some withdraw all the fluid to see what is there and then put it back with an added amount. Some just add. Either way you end up with more fill. It is important that you stay on liquids only for 24 hours after a fill, then soft foods for 24 hours. This protocol varies by doc too, but the liquid part seems pretty standard. Be very careful with bite size and chewing after you go back to solid food. If you band was looser, it may take getting used to food going down once it is filled.
  13. The emo t The Emotional Side is VERY tough! I had been good for over a year, my hubby took one trip without me and I ate ice cream for dinner. Yep, it's a journey not a destination!
  14. Also try using Almond Milk, unsweetened as a base. Plain or vanilla. Both 30 calories a cup!.
  15. Go back to the eating plan you had when you were first banded. Do the liquids stage, the mushies stage and gradually add back in solid food. Protein first, then veggies if still hungry. It is your life make the changes you know you need to make.
  16. Agree with all the posts above. Don't wait most docs have emergency pagers.
  17. So sorry to hear that. Glad you got to the doctor right away. Thoughts and prayers are with you. We will be thinking about you! Hugs!
  18. Wait until you have a problem to sorry about it. Meanwhile just take it easy and get used to your band. Fear is a poor motivator and leads to stress, which leads to eating... Capishe?
  19. Lap Band surgery is not a DIET. WW is. With the band you need to follow the plan your surgeon and nutritionist gave you. I have no idea how to convert that to points.
  20. Add more liquid protein as you are able and that will help boost you up a bit. That said, anesthesia takes a while to get out of your system. I have hot and cold flashes for 6 weeks. And no, I am not menopausal. Been there done that!
  21. Honey, you are way too early to feel restriction. Just follow the doctors orders and you will be fine. Starting off at BMI of 27 will likely make you loss very slow. I would think maybe only 1 pound a week.
  22. Yep you should have been on liquids only for at least 24 hours, followed by mushies for 24 hours. Go back to the beginning and start again with liquids. You have probably irritated the band and esophagus. If you are not able to eat mushies after a day of liquids call the doc for an unfill.
  23. One bite at a time... just WAY too many of them! I was a carb addict, not sweets, but potatoes, pasta...i could eat a ton.!
  24. I love Trader Joes... Look for precooked pot roast. Break it up, microwave for a few minutes and instant soft beef!
