Gained Weight After Band And Now I Pregnant And Terrified
Calm down and work with the cards you have been dealt. Speak specifically to a nutritionist about per-natal suggestions for lap band patients.

You know what you need to do. Now just go and do it!

Band Working Or Not?
The band works, but not all patients do! Not to sound harsh, but there is too much success to believe otherwise. See you doctor, nutritionist and see if you can kick start this off again, or consider alternative surgery.

Who Is Correct Here?
Put the doc and the nut in the same room and ask them to get their stories straight. It is too confusing for a new lap band patient to be hearing multiple voices that are not singing in tune!

So Close To Victory!!!!
Follow you post-op instructions and when you are ready for solid foods, meet with the nutritionist for good suggestions. A successful Bandster is a compliant one! Best wishes as you begin your new life!

Cereal/whole Wheat Toast/pasta/rice
You can eat whatever your band will tolerate, you SHOULD be careful with empty carbohydrate calories. Always eat your protein first! Some bandsters have problems with rice and pasta, other don't. Focus on multigrain pasta, and brown rice, but only after your protein and healthy carbs ( veggies)

Wwyd? Eat Shortly After Waking Or Wait Until Mid Morning (Hungry)?

To Be Or Not To Be?
Well. there are a lot of happy bandsters on here. My recommendations would be to browse the site a bit and read in the pre-surgery sections. Or buy a book. I am very happy with my decision, but I warn you, this is not a diet! It is a life style change.

This Isnt How I Thought Id Feel!
Keep the faith. I am sure others can see your weight loss. It takes a while for our brains to catch up. We have seen ourselves as heavy for so long, it is easy to miss the day to day changes. 42 pounds is fantastic! You can do it!

Food Tastes Differently
The band can change how we perceive things. I can't do much sugar now at all without feeling queasy! Nothing to worry about. Who needed to eat sweet stuff anyhow? LOL
