  1. We miss you!
  2. Dawn... where are you my friend?????
  3. Happy Birthday to Maddy and CJ coming up fast!
  4. Doreen.... pretzels and ice cream are both slider foods for me. And.. I agree with Janet, if they are in the house I will eat them. I know you have young kids around so having that stuff is probably mandatory. Try munching on raw veggies at night. That helps me. Heaven help me if I get started on popcorn. LOL! I also agree with Janet, sounds like you may have irritated the band area a bit, and hun, remember you do have just a BIT of stress in your life right now! Hugs to you!
  5. Doreen, will CJ be 12 or 13?
  6. I have never had any problem with eating while flying and I travel a lot. Everyone is different. If I feel tightness It seems to be more stress related. Try warm drinks like tea, coffee or SF hot chocolate.
  7. I would watch the carb content. Many of the Atkins bars work well as do the KIND bars.
  8. Trust your surgeon. You will have to decide for yourself if you want to keep your weight at a healthy level or risk going back to pre-surgery. Best wishes for you whatever you decide.
  9. Good luck with the doc. I hope he can solve the problems you are having.
  10. Welcome to the journey of your lifetime! By the way, I visited Tasmania in 1999 and LOVED IT!
  11. Yay! NSVs are the BOMB! I foresee many more in your future!
  12. Keep up the good work. I can see the progress!
  13. Good luck. You can do it. It won't be long until you can eat all those things again in moderation.
  14. Eat before the reception. Stick to proteins where possible. I wish you well. Traveling is hard. I always hit the local groceries for my food when I arrive. Enjoy yourself, that is most important.
  15. Happy Saturday all! Everything is good in my part of NC. Carole will have to speak for her part when she gets home! Janet... Love the quilt. Is it expensive to have someone else quilt it? I had heard it was and it scared me off. Ange will be thrilled! Did you notice that Dawn did not respond to either of our inquiries about her future nuptials? What is with that? DAWN!!!! We want to know what's up girlfriend! Or is it a secret? Michelle, happy to see you doing well. Congratulations on you continued progress. Hope your son is settling in with his diagnosis. Keep us posted for the next piano recital. Doreen, I was so happy to see pictures of your family at the fair. Is Charlie doing the right things? Are the boys helping him out? CJ still looks very happy. When is his swallow test? Diane, not sure silence is golden? What's the latest with you. Are you eating well and managing Mom ok? Carole... when are you coming back to NC? I hope you visit to Florida is not changing your mind about the move. Take care all, and have a fun weekend! Love you bunches. Terri
  16. Hugs and prayers Carole!
  17. We'll be here for you Janet! Carole... good luck with the doctors! Michelle... keep up your good work! Doreen... how is Charlie doing now? Does his work give him time off? Diane... I think about you daily. Miss you my friend. Dawn.... Sorry... tell me again what the move plan is? Will you and Brad be tying the knot? Will you change your name? Inquiring Minds!!! Love to all, feeling some better today. Last two meals did not dump out! TMI!
  18. Janet... never did a one fabric quilt. I am being lazy, had a stomach bug for the past couple days. I have stay near the toilet! Band is fine... and I have lost weight, but not my favorite way to go.
  19. Good luck with the knees Janet. I will try to remember you on the 14th, but I am old! LOL Sounds like all had busy weekends, mine was quiet but fun. Tomorrow manicure and photo albums!
  20. cottage cheese with fruit, Greek yogurt. Soft veggies, blended soups, etc.
  21. Everything except the Nioxin shampoo and conditioner and mouse products.
  22. Chicken salad, cottage cheese with fruit, Greek yogurt (especially with PB2 added!). Be very careful with portion sizes, you may need to size down lunch with only 15 minutes to eat. It takes me that long at least with all my meals. Protein bars or shakes for snacks.
  23. It is hard work to lose weight even with the band because most of us are changing a lifetime of habits. Don't let anyone tell you that the band is an easy way out. It is not. It is just a tool to help you on the journey.
  24. Warm liquids in the morning help be get the day going. No problems at other times.
  25. Best wishes for you in the future.
