  1. Home safe and sound. I hope you all are well. Tomorrow is laundry and grocery day! Birds pecked at most of my tomatoes, but I was able to salvage a few! Janet, hope the storm skips you this time, and us in NC! Dawn your office mates should be shot! Michelle not much more for your classes and I know you will do well. \ Doreen, hope your guys have a good weekend. What came home from the auction this week? Carole, glad to hear you are sleeping through the night, that should help a bunch with the stress. Diane, what can I say, stress lives with you now.... what to come to Durham for a visit? LiLi says hi to all! Have a good weekend, TGIF tomorrow!
  2. Janet... I hope everyone gets to feeling better fast! Dawn... I told CJ "Shut the door" for you... as it happens with all the kids, that gets said alot at Doreen's house. Carole... Hope you had another good day. I want a picture of the new dress for Jodi's graduation! Michelle... Hope your whole family will enjoy the football experience. It will be a great thing for you all to do together. Doreen... a gracious hostess and Deb was fun too! You are an angel for all you do for those kids and others! But, I did forget to check out the top of your frig! Diane... I loved LampChop so much I ordered one for CJ. He loves it! It seemed appropriate! Love you all, driving home tomorrow, so out of touch most of the day. I will check in when we get home!
  3. Doreen and I had a wonderful visit. All her kids were doing well. Kaleb is 14 and 6'3" tall! Such a loving home! Doreen's chicken dish for lunch was yummy as was the greek yogurt, fruit and sf vanilla pudding dish. I want the recipes for both. I am adding a few more pictures. Note CJ's new friend! I even got to kiss him goodbye and listen to him giggle at "Shut the front door!" What a happy easy going kid! I'm in love! Doreen's quilt: CJ and Lambchop: Doreen, CJ, LambChop Quilt and Grammy:
  4. Dawn... I can see why you are ready to move! Stay safe until the move and then get the heck out of there! Mini... you are doing so well! I am proud of you! Carole, you sound better and better as you get more settled in your new home. I still can't wait to see all the remodeling completed. Janet, nice to have you back among us. Hope all continues to go well with your Mom. I know Ange and family are happy to have you around as well. Hows the backyard pond? Dried up yet? Diane... you are a strong strong lady! A replacement for your director's position. I thought that was your job? I am confused. Loved the mental picture of you and your cat in bed with a snoring hubby! Doreen... I will be there tomorrow! Can't wait! We will come as early as possible. I am hoping for good weather. Today we are headed up to the Boalsburg and the Pennsylvania Military Museum to the outdoor market to meet our nephew and his family. They have a booth there to sell stuff from their organic farm! Then tomorrow it is Doreen day! Yippee! I am really looking forward to meeting all her family, and yes Dawn I will tell CJ to shut the front door for you! I promise pictures from tomorrow! Love to all!
  5. Most insurance will not pay unless you have a medical issue such as a rash or skin infection from excess skin.
  6. Nervous is normal! Congratulations on the surgery!
  7. The gas is normal. Many of us make our own music as we walk. I doubt it is related to the fill. I assume you are able to eat ok?
  8. Good luck!
  9. The Sobe flavored waters are good too, but no caffeine!
  10. Dawn... hope Ericka is OK. Benny sounds like our cat Lily. She is VERY skittish. If someone sneezes she runs to hide. The neighbor who takes care of the cats when we travel has me verify I am sure that they are in the house before we leaves. She never sees Lily when we are gone! But... I just had them both the the vet and they are gaining weight so I know they are eating OK! Doreen, just two more days! Carole, I am happy your life is getting some routine back in it. That will make a big difference. Hope everyone had a good weekend. We are in Pennsylvania now. Lots of family to visit.
  11. Hi all.. I texted with Janet yesterday and she hope to be back with us soon. Her mother is doing better and Janet is finally home. Missing Ange so will likely visit her today. but otherwise good. Carole... amazing with the steps! How's the knees and feet holding up? Diane, my heart weeps for you and your family! Hugs and prayers and all of our support, always! Hang in there. It is a tough road. Dawn and Michelle, busy weekends! Good luck to the football player, and Dawn I love your pups! Why is the one so shy? Janet, welcome home! We will be happy to have you among us again! Doreen...three more days! I am excited!
  12. Tell Jack to behave!
  13. Love and prayers to you Diane. Remember that you are doing this for your mother's safety. All will work out! I am thinking about you and remembering this time in my life. Life will go on! Keep your chin up.
  14. 5 miles today! Woohoo! Union Station tomorrow!
  15. Pentagon City and Union Station. Also... fyi, we have a Nordstroms in Durham!
  16. Update your profile. Without knowing where you are and where you have been advice would be shot in the dark!
  17. Keep with the program. I hope your surgery goes off on schedule!
  18. Well you got mine! Dawn good to hear the barium went thru, but I don't blame you to check with your doc when he gets the results. We all need to learn some group relaxation method we could use on here to zone out! Carole... sorry about the Migraines, but you know that is likely stress and anxiety too. Diane... Carole forgets you live in SC! Not a lot of support funds there I hazard to guess! Doreen... 7 days and counting, and yes you will all get a photo. I want one with me and CJ! Michelle hope things continue to improve. You will rock the rest of your courses, cause we are focused ladies! Janet... if you check love to you and prayers for your Mom! Leaving for DC tomorrow am. It is supposed to be HOT HOT HOT! Good thing the mall is air conditioned! I'll keep you posted!
  19. Congratulations that is super!
  20. Carole, our countertops are granite, but look very similar to what you chose without the brown in it. We too wanted to being the outside in. I am sure you will love them. Best wishes for Jack's surgery. Michelle, exercise is a great stress breaker... make the time... you will be glad you did! Doreen, counting the days! Janet, you have been MIA, hope all is well with you. At least post so we can see how great you are doing with the band! Diane, many sad moments for you, but I wish you luck with the memory care unit! You whole family needs a breather, and you need a beach! Dawn, keep up the good work on the exercise and let us know how your appointment goes today! I will be thinking about you! Off to pack for the big road trip tomorrow! Can't wait! TTYL
  21. Hang in there Doreen... I have faith in you! Carole, good luck on counter tops. That was the hardest part of our kitchen redo as well. You will find something that calls to you! Michelle and Dawn have a great week. Janet and Diane.... I wish you peace this week! Just found out the heat wave will be hitting DC while we are there. It will high 90's and even over 100 degrees. May limit myself to inside walking! Keep cool everybody!
  22. Well the weather cooperated and we had a good day for the goddaughters and the pool party. After swimming we all went to a local Mexican restaurant for dinner. The kids are so cute, but man they tire me out! Their Dad looks very tired and weak... chemo starts this week. I am praying for them all! Now I have two days to do laundry and pack for our trip. Doreen... I LOVE chicken. About the only Protein I don't eat is lamb. Dawn, I will check on you after Tuesday. I hope it goes well for you. Definitely pack those glass carvings well and send them with Brad. Movers are not made for things that are that important. Diane, hope Mom behaved at your house last night. Janet, hope your weekend was good. Carole, I am happy you heard from Seth. Hang in there Mom! Michelle, I hope your son will settle down, but getting a diagnosis like his is never easy. The stages of mourning apply to these situations as well, so give him time and he will come around.
  23. Carole, good luck with driving and bears! Both sound like Jack problems to me! Diane, my shopping is not usually done until October, but I am an early bird. Getting a list from the Grandaughters takes the longest! Most of our gifts to our daughters and SIL are gift cards. Easier for them and me! Dawn, love that precious pup. Good luck with the reflux to both you and Carole. How is the band and weight loss doing overall? When is your appointment? Doreen, have the boys clean out all the snakes before I get there. I hate them all! Janet, hope you are having and good weekend. Prayers for your Mom and her GB. Hope everything works out for her. Michelle, mothers take all the abuse. My love and strength to you as Tyler works out his diagnosis. You yard look lovely and relaxing. Spend more time enjoying it and less worrying about Tyler. He wil come around eventually. (I however and still waiting for my 41 yo daughter to "come around"... LOL) Wish you the best! Franc and I will be heading off to DC on Wednesday morning. We will be there through Sunday afternoon and then on to Pennsylvania. Family events Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Doreen on Wednesday and drive back home on Thursday. OK... so my butt is sore just thinking about it. Franc has meetings in DC all the days we are there, so I will be mall walking, with maybe a bit of shopping thrown in! Sightseeing will depend on the weather. I will keep in touch though! Love to you all!
  24. Soggy Saturday! Hope the rain clears out for the pool party tomorrow. Today began the Christmas season for me. I picked up my Hallmark ornaments. I will never tell how many I have! LOL! I love Christmas!
