  1. Sounds like a good motivator!
  2. Amen!
  3. I would recommend against it. It is time to start learning self discipline. You will need it later on. The band is NOT a diet, only a tool.
  4. You may find that you tire more easily. I would have given it at least a week, more to learning the after band eating programs, but I wish you good luck.
  5. Sounds like you just need more practice with tiny bites and chewing. Take it very slow and don't ever try to wash down a stuck with liquids! You can do it, but I still forget sometimes after 20 months. We spent years with our old habits and forming new ones is always a challenge. Good luck. Definitely call your surgeon if you continue to have problems with smaller bites.
  6. Good morning all! Continued prayers for Diane and her brother and family! Mini.... Likewise. I will add your son to my list of prayers! Janet... you dry yet? Looks like we will get more rain today! Carole... did you find nice furniture on your adventure? Dawn... hope you and Brad and family had a great visit! Doreen... Mountain pies and kayak? Who would have thunk it a year ago? Cawa... have you deserted us? Kind of a lazy Sunday here, no sun. I guess I will work on basting my quilt sandwich together and see if I can start quilting later today. This quilt is for the father of our God-Daughters who has just been diagnosed with lymphoma. Please add Tyler, Jessica, Grace and Eva to your prayers.
  7. Prayers for you Diane and your brother. Keep us posted if you can!
  8. Firming at the gym is best. Most firming lotions do not really work.
  9. The band will be fine. Just listen to your body.
  10. Agree with the above... 3 pounds a day is perfectly normal. Your weight will fluctuate. I would recommend weighing weekly. Are you taking your measurements? That is another method of tracking progress. Don't stress!
  11. Congrats on your success!
  12. Yes, need more specifics. Could you be constipated?
  13. Talk with your doctors, many meds have liquid alternatives. You may need to substitute with the liquids for a while until you are able to move on to solids again. I can swallow all my pills now without problems, but I do take them one at a time.
  14. You tell them Sandy! We are proud to know you!
  15. You concerns are very normal. And all of us here needed the band as a tool to help up. I am out 20 months, and my normal is smaller portions, but I can eat anything I want. Keep the faith, you can do this if you want it!
  16. Love you all!
  17. You go Doreen... you can do it!
  18. Home again with computer that works YAY!
  19. Heading home to Durham today! Hoping the pool is not too flooded!
  20. Diane.... houscleaning... you need to get that stuff out of sight! Dee... Happy fireworks! Janet... still raining? Mini, Cawa still hot? Carole... hows the mountain weather? We have had another beautiful day today for the 4th! Dawn hope you and Brad are having a great 4th! Enjoy!
  21. Hello all, still good weather here on the NC coast! Janet welcome home... sorry about the rain the east is having. What a mess. Our pool at home overflowed, but the plants are still ok! I hope some of yours survive. To all the rest... HAPPY 4TH OF JULY to you all!
  22. Dee you are continuing to amaze me! I will help with the math when I see you! Carole, it has rained all day here. Flash floods in Durham yesterday. This is definitely not our usual summer! Janet.. How was the trip? Mini and Cawanna stay inside! Dawn hope things continue to go well in your new job! Diane hope things are quiet!
  23. Hi all! Nothing works today except the iPhone. What a pain to type on, so hi bye love you all. Will try again later.
  24. A brief respite of sunshine!
  25. Good morning all from the RAINY NC coast! Hope the weather improves throughout the week!
