  1. Yaaay! I am super excited for you too! I think you are making realistic goals, about the same as mine! Best of luck to you and keep us posted on the journey!
  2. Thanks everyone! I just wanted to let you all know how much you have helped me thru this journey. All your trials, successes, questions and answers have helped me tremendously and I want to thank you all for your support.
  3. Happy Friday to you, that is awesome!
  4. If you dont feel ready for this dont do it. You know in your heart what you need to do so follow that feeling. Best of luck to you in whatever you choose!
  5. I think you are doing fabulous, keep up the good work!
  6. 66 lbs...you are doing great! Congrats to you!
  7. Good morning everyone! I just had to tell about my NSV this morning...I finally fit in my size 14 jeans!!! Woo hoo, I am sooo excited. I havent been in 14's since the late 80's. I started in a size 20. I can wait to be able to shop in the normal stores, not the plus size...sooo close! Happy Friday!
  8. All the feelings you are having are completely normal. I felt the same way but woke up thinking to myself " I was so scared...for nothing!" You sound like you have everything you need so just get yourself excited...you are starting the new chapter in the rest of your healthy life! Best of luck to you, keep us posted
  9. Are you kidding? That is a great weight loss! Looks like you started with a lower bmi that a lot of us so you may lose slower but I think you are doing great! Congrats to you, keep up the good work!
  10. Yaaay! I am glad to hear someone having no issues, I was the same! Best of luck to you!
  11. Yummy, thanks for sharing, I am going to have to give those a try!
  12. How long after surgery before you will have to lift him? I was told no lifting over 10 lbs for 6 weeks. I went for my 8 week appt and was cleared , no more weight restrictions, I was told I can even do sit ups now. I was lifting stuff before my 6 weeks was up cause I have a huge yard and am always doing work outside. Heck, we built a 100 feet of fence when I was 4 weeks out. Everyone heals differently, some quicker than others so...check with the dr, maybe a back brace, the kind you wrap around and velcro will be sufficient? I wish I had a better answer but...good luck to you!
  13. You are all doing great, slow weight loss is still a loss. Just think, you wont have as much saggy skin! I am down 50 lbs since the first of the year, 35 since surgery ( 2 months ago) and I already have some saggy skin on my arms and inner thighs. Sure , I am happy I am losing but I HATE the saggy skin, it drives me crazy. How about adding some calories or changing up the workout routine, sometimes confusing the body kicks it back into gear. Whatever you do, dont be hard on yourselves. Best wishes to you!
  14. It is normal to be scared a bit, you are going in for surgery but you will be fine. I did the same and when I came to thought to myself "really, I was so scared for nothing...woo hoo!" I used the pain pump when I needed and was home the next day with hardly any pain ( other than when I got up/down from bed and that was just minimal) You have worked hard to get to this point, you are doing this for your health so think positive and you will do just fine! Hugs to you both and the best of luck, keep us posted!
  15. Yay! I love to hear the success stories, congrats to you!
  16. Oh yes, every month, even before surgery, I gain 2-5 lbs the week before but it dissapears the week after, just water weight for me....thank goodness!
  17. I added you as a friend. I just wanted to let you know you look amazing! Great job, you are so close to goal...I am jealous!
  18. Yay to you! When is your surgery? Keep us posted so we can cheer you on!
  19. Woo hoo! So happy for you! I am soo close, 5 lbs to go!
  20. Yay! What a great NSV for you!
  21. I was on a treadmill at 2 weeks. I took it slow and had no problems. If it was nice I would walk outside but I think you would be ok if you just go slow and be careful.
  22. I have to say I dont actually get "hungry" like I used to, it is weird. I just keep on my schedule of 3 meals a day with 2-3 snacks in between. I may get head hungry occasionally but I just go do something to get my mind off it an it works.
  23. Yaay, so excited for you! I am in Dixon, how close are you? Keep us posted on your journey and dont be scared, you will be just fine!
  24. I had no issue with either being removed. The drain just felt weird, not sure how to explain it but no pain. The staples, no pain whatsoever, took her about 5 minutes to take them all out.
  25. I agree with you 100% , thanks for sharing, no flaming from me!
