  1. I am glad to hear you are doing so good. I did the same but my Dr wouldnt let me go back to work till 3 weeks out...I was going crazy at home so I feel ya!
  2. Yaaay! I hit the size 14 pants last week, it was awesome! Keep up the good work!
  3. Yes, this is common. You can also have heavier periods ( I know, who wants to hear that!) Mine has been early, late, split up, you name it, since the surgery.
  4. I was having protein drinks as soon as I got home, ask your dr and see what he says. The broth didnt do it for me either...boring!
  5. I am with escape pod, I have had nearly nothing as far as carbs go. I dont miss them either. A bite or two of a pasta salad, a bite of spaghetti, that is it, no bread, rice at all. Maybe try the toasted bread instead. Best of luck to you Sarah, just keep trying different things, you will find one that curbs the carb craving.
  6. Woo hoo, lets all do the happy dance! Great job, keep up the fabulous work!
  7. Ok, first thing, do not beat yourself up about this. You are DOWN 32 lbs, obviously you are doing something right. We are going to have slip-ups so just look forward, not back. What is done is done. When you fall off the horse get up, dust yourself off and get back on! Best of luck to you
  8. You go girl!!! So happy for you. My surgery was 6 days before you and I am down 40 since surgery, 55 since the first of the year...woo hoo for us! I am doing the happy dance with you!!!!
  9. First thing, congrats on your weight loss so far, you are doing great! I would have to say it hit me about the 4 week mark. It just hit me, I feel better, my clothes no longer fit and I am not hungry, I like that feeling! It is really hitting me now, I am down from a size 20 to a 14 and unfortunately I have no clothes to wear but I am ok with that. I got rid of all my fat clothes and my closet is empty and I am ok with that! My husband is a great motivator too, he can keep the paws off me, that is nice for a change!
  10. Yaay! I am glad you are doing great! I was the same, no issues whatsoever. I dont mind the protein drinks but I cant stand the clear ones of any kind...gross! Best of luck to you!
  11. Oh yes, completely normal, I had all of the above too! You will do great, just keep up the good attitude and you will recover in no time. Best of luck to you!
  12. Not sure what you are trying to say. I hope you are drinking more that 8 oz a day, did you mean 8 oz at a time?
  13. Hi Kisha, I used the chewable centrum since I didnt have a problem with the taste but I got some of the gummys at Costco and they are pretty good. They are called Vitafusion MultiVites and they are only 15 calories each. I take the sublingual b-12, spring valley is the brand (walmart) split them into 4 since they are 2500 mg and I am supposed to get 500. They taste like cherry but the piece is so small and dissolves quickly you barely taste it. I am taking Prilosec daily for 6 months ( dr's orders) and actigall 3 times a day for 6 months as well for gallstone prevention. Also, two calcium pills daily. Seems like a lot but I am having no issues whatsoever. I did some research on the biotin and came to the conclusion is really doesnt help with hair loss in what I have read so I decided not to take it. I have had no issue with hair thinning yet...but I am only going on 10 weeks out. Guess I will deal with it when I need to...lol! Best of luck to you!
  14. Yaaaay! I am sooo excited for you! I love to read when sleevers reach that goal...I am soooo close myself, weighed 201 yesterday. Keep up the fabulous work
  15. I felt great at 7 days out, wanted to go back to work but they wouldnt let me.
  16. I was put on actigall for 6 months , three times a day as a gall stone preventative, maybe you can ask about that.
  17. I suggest you both go back to clear liquids for a couple days, broths, crystal light etc and give the protein drinks a try later. Lots of water too, dont forget that! I would call the Dr on the pain meds bothering you, what are you taking?
  18. Why not have more soup? It is only a liquid with minimal calories. Even some more carrots, they have nearly no calories. Good luck to you.
  19. I am so sorry you had so much pain but you sound like you are dealing with it quite well. I pray it will be better in a couple days for you. Keep us posted and best of luck!
  20. Are you kidding? That is a lot of weight to lose in that amount of time. It will start to slow so dont be alarmed. The slower you lose , the less saggy skin! Keep up the fantastic work...rockin that sleeve you are!
  21. Yummy! All those sound great, I will give them a try!
  22. You are doing great, dont worry, completely normal to have stalls. I have had several, I mix up my routine a bit and start losing again. 25 lbs so far is a great loss! Are you exercising? If so, maybe change it a bit , maybe add a bit more food ans see what happens. Good luck and keep us posted.
  23. I havent had salad yet but I was eating solid foods at 5 weeks. I just started the veggie kick since I am craving them. Salads dont taste as good with the weather being cold still...guess I am weird, I only like them when it is warmer. I say take a bite and see, you will know pretty quickly and one bite cant hurt too bad if it doesnt agree with you, just make sure to chew well.
  24. No surgery before but I am sure gonna need a lift afterwards!
  25. Yaaay Kathy! What a great NSV! Happy Friday to you!
