  1. Oh yes, tight clothes were a big no for me! I lived in my fav yoga pants and a big tee for the three weeks I was off work. Even after I went back I left my pants unzipped, couldnt see it under my shirt so I was fine. It was about 6 weeks before I would wear something a bit tighter that didnt bother me.
  2. I think most any restaurant /fast food place has a choice you can pick from or modify to fit your needs. I have been to chinese, mexican, burger joints, italian and have always been able to fing a low carb/high protein option to eat. Good luck!
  3. Yaay to you Kathy, you are doing fantastic. Keep up the good work.
  4. Happy Birthday, you will be better every day. Try the sublingual b12, I have been using it since surgery and even before, it is a good energy booster for me.
  5. Congrats to you! Just keep up your fluids. It is much better at home, when do you get to go? I was home the next day mid day.
  6. Congrats to you! I just loved that day!
  7. I agree with willow, try prilosec, works wonders for me!
  8. I say go and have a fun time with your daughter. I had to go to a funeral 7 days after my surgery and it was easy. I cant say the food didnt smell amazing ( home made mexican) but I had my protein drink and water and did just fine. I think just having mom there will be the most important thing to your daughter. Make yourself some soup, put it in a thermos and go have a good time...you can do this.
  9. I am glad you are doing well, keep up the walking and you will be great in no time.
  10. Dont worry about the vitamins, concentrate on getting re-hydrated, that is way more important. You can get back on schedule with the vitamins when you feel better. Get better soon!
  11. Dont be scared Sandra, everything will be ok. Hugs to you! I know the emotions are hard to deal with, excitement, being scared etc...it is completely normal. Please let us know how you are doing once you feel up to it!
  12. You will be able...soon. I would just pick the healthier options there, I know some of them are pretty calorie ladden. Good luck!
  13. It shouldnt matter where the surgery is, like you said, as long as they can verify. I had to use my sick pay and then got to use one week of disability, didnt have to use my vacation, worked out perfectly! Good luck to you!
  14. I knew you would make it....yaaaay! We are real close in our weight loss. I was 3 months yesterday, 44 lbs since surgery! Congrats to you , keep up the good work!
  15. Also Bev Mo and Smart & Final have them where I live.
  16. Cost Plus World Market has a good selection of them.
  17. I was as well, no issues at all.
  18. Welcome Sammie, I am like you, had the easiest time , no issues whatsoever! Welcome to the forum, this is the best one I have found...so many nice people with great information that is so helpful.
  19. Three meals a day isnt enough, aim for 5-6 small ones, it really does work. I am 12 weeks out today and I seem to be eating all the time...and keeping my body from getting hungry. Best of luck to you.
  20. I would say the first week for me but I am a super fast healer.
  21. Good luck to you Sandra, you will do fine! Keep us posted on your recovery! Hugs to you!
  22. I get that every once in a while too and I am 12 weeks out today. I am thinking fluid intake is lacking a bit for me but...I also find if I sit for a extended period of time and get up quickly I get the dizzy feeling too, just for a few seconds tho. I would call your doc to see what he thinks. Good luck to you!
  23. Woo hoo! I love that feeling...keep up the good work!
  24. I hear you Veronica, weight should have no bearing on interest but it does... I am sorry you are having the hair loss issue, I am not thank goodness. I hear Biotin hair products are good for thinning hair, cant hurt to try it. Congrats on your weight loss too!
