  1. I have salads all the time, I am having one with a baked piece of salmon and apple right now....delish! I had my first one at about 6 weeks approx and had no issues. Good luck to you! Everyone is different as to what they can handle and when. Good old trial and error is all you can do!
  2. I think taking advil once a month for cramps shouldnt be a problem. I just believe they are being super cautious and telling us not to take it. Call the doc anyway and ask, better to be safe than sorry!
  3. You will lose weight, no problem there! Best of luck to you, keep us posted on how you are doing!
  4. WOO HOO, best of luck to you both. Keep us posted on your journey! Hugs!
  5. I am sorry...it will happen soon enough. Did they have you on a pre-op diet? Just wonderng since they normally do that to cleasnse the liver right? I am surprised they didnt see that your liver was enlarged from bloodwork, maybe they cant tell that way but you would think so. Best of luck to you.
  6. I only drink Muscle Milk protein shakes, I couldnt stand any other kind of shake. I tried so many protein powders too, didnt like ONE of them. Good old trial and error is all you can do till you find one you can tolerate. Good luck.
  7. OMG...that is too funny! I havent had any of those yet...thank goodness!
  8. I told everyone I could, even before the surgery. It is a personal decision who you want to tell but the way I look at it, why not tell people, you are doing this to improve your health and maybe your telling someone can actually help someone else make the decision to do it too!
  9. You are welcome! I know, this forum has been so wonderful for me, really helped me get where I am today. Best of luck!
  10. All 5 of mine are flat except for the biggest one where they took the excess tummy out but they are still darker, not so much red, where the incision is. I am 3 1/2 months out. The other 4 are almost non existent now but I am a fast healer.
  11. Oh yes, the infamous gurgle...I still have it but not as bad as it initially was. It is just your new sleevie getting used to foods, it is completely normal. Congrats on your decision to have the surgery and best of luck on your journey.
  12. I am so sorry you are having such a hard time. Is there anyone you can talk to, family member, possibly your Doctor? Please get some help from somewhere, you are so worth it and doing fantastic so far, your weight loss is amazing. You just have to decide in your mind that you can do this. I know it is hard, believe me, I have had hard days to but I know deep in my heart...I CAN DO THIS...and you can too. Hugs to you...keep us posted on your journey.
  13. Yaaay Kathy! You will be just fine. It is completely normal to be nervous and excited...I sure was! Prayers and hugs your way! Keep us posted on your journey.
  14. I would ask the Dr for sure. I have had a few upset tummy episodes lately and it seems to be after eating ( maybe too fast?) Once was with drinking some milk after dinner...tummy didnt like that! I have tried milk since with no problem tho. The other was after eating I had a glass of wine...soooo didnt like that, I got the sweats and tummy issues so I am not sure what was the deal with that one. I just think my sleeve/intestines get more sensitive sometimes... Good old trial and error is all I can do I guess. Good luck to you.
  15. Yaaay...you will do great!
  16. Welcome! I am so glad you chose to change your life, you will not be dissapointed! I have to tell you, it has completely changed my life, I feel amazing and only 41 lbs from goal in 3 1/2 months!
  17. Hi everyone, I am soooo close to my 2nd goal of getting into the 180's. I weighed in this am at 191....2 lbs to go! I am sooo excited I just had to tell someone. I went shopping this weekend...size 12 jeans and L shirts....woo hoo! Thanks to you all for your stories and support, it has really made a difference in my success!
  18. Hi Rebecca, I am so excited for you! You will do just fine with the right attitude. Everyone is scared/nervous , you are going in for a surgery but rest assured , you will do just fine. Keep us posted on your journey and hugs to you!
  19. All I can say is....WOW...you look amazing!
  20. Good old trial and error is all you an do. I personally didnt lose the taste for anything...except my fav beer...weird huh? I wasnt much of a carb or sweet person so it was eas fr me to give those up...no loss! I pretty much eat what I want just not much of it and I am losing steadily. I of course make better choices but I wasnt really a super unhealthy eater before. Good luck.
  21. I am so sorry, I cant imagine how that must hurt. I hardly ever sneeze so I was lucky!
  22. And yes, weight loss is quicker with the sleeve over the band. When I went in my doc says I am losing like a bypass patient, guess they lose a bit quicker than sleeves she says. Woo hoo!
  23. Welcome Tammie, best of luck to you, you will be sooo happy!
