  3. LOL! I agree, my jeans have to hug my bottom, if not, they are too big, I hate having elephant butt ( that is what my friend calls it) It is hard to change to form fitting clothes but they do make you look better.

  7. I felt the same but no swimming yet, I was told 6 weeks too. I also wasnt released to exercise ( strenuous) till after my 2 month appt so I wouldnt over-do it.
  8. I personally told everyone that would listen to me...lol! I dont care what anyone thinks of my decision, I know that I am making the right choice for me. It is fun to see people that havent seen me in a while that are shocked how different I look, you will love that part! Best of luck to you!
  9. Yaaay! Congrats to you!
  10. I think you need to eat more, whenever I have a stall, I up my calories and start losing again. Also, make sure you are getting enough water...sooo important. Good luck!
  11. Oh yes, you hit that one on the head!!! I so felt like that!!!
  12. Yes...YOU ALL CAN DO THIS!!!!!!
  13. I think you are eating too little.Try adding a few extra teaspoons each time and see if it agrees with you. I was doing the same and feeling hungry too soon so I added a bit more and it worked for me. I , like Pookey, find the denser proteins, like chicken breast, seem to stay with me longer than cottage cheese or yogurt do. All you can do is good old trial and error to see what works for you. I find I dont need to wait that long with the drinking, I can do a good 20-25 minutes before/after and be just fine. Good luck to you, let us know how you do.
  14. You will be fine. I only did 2 days of liquids before my surgery. I went out to sushi the night before my 2 day liquids started and did just fine. Good luck!
  15. Good luck to you too Patrick!
  16. Hi Kate, I am glad you are making this decision for yourself. I too was tired of feeling sick and tired all the time. I too thought why couldnt I just eat that way wls patients do but I realized I needed the extra help to get there. I am 4 months out ( last Saturday) and I am down 68 lbs, 53 since surgery and I feel amazing. I really only have a bit of loose skin so far, under the arms and a bit on the inner thighs. Good luck with the beginning of your journey...you wont be disappointed.
  17. Cant say I have used herbs since my surgery but I have had garlic and ginger both and I am a spicy food addict and have had no issues at all.
  18. Congrats! Best of luck to you!
  19. Yaaay, feels wonderful doesnt it? I just cleaned out my closet.....I dont have much to wear anymore! I am buying a few items but I dont fit in them for long....love that problem! Keep up the good work!
  20. Yaaay! Best of luck to you!
  21. I have 2 cups, black, every day with no issues. The doc says to drink decaf but I havent found one I like yet.
  22. I was like Raven, roll on my side and use my arms to get up. It was only for the first few days so hang in there!
  23. No, it isnt you, everyone is different. I was up and about the next day and never really stopped. Sure, I had some discomfort but nothing to stop me from getting up and about. Best of luck to you for a speedy recovery!
