  1. I had staples with strips over them, they came off in the shower ist time. Take the bandaids off for sure!
  2. How can you feel like a failure, you are smaller than her? You are doing fantastic!
  3. Two weeks out and I was eating soft foods, I couldnt wait
  4. Oh, I agree 100% , it is nasty. I wish I could help you but I only drink Muscle Milk light, I refused to have any powdered protein, all tasted gross to me. Best of luck, did you look in the recipe area?
  5. Two multi-vitamins with iron a day for me. Costco brand
  6. All I can say is...keep on trying different ones. I disliked all the powdered ones I tried but I love the Muscle Milk light, ready to drink ones, I get them at Costco, both chocolate and vanilla. Go to a GNC or health club and buy a single and see if you like it. Those are the only ones I drink.
  7. Yummy, that sound great, thanks for sharing!
  8. Welcome to you both! You are making a great decision, it changes your life. Best of luck for a speedy approval and on to the losers bench!! Yaaaaay!!!!!!
  9. I never started the measurements and I am dissapointed that I didnt. I know I have lost so many inches and I cant say how many...grrr! I went from a size 20 pant to a....drum roll please...a size 12!!! Yes, I went shopping last night and fit into a size 12 jean....sooo excited. Also from a 2-3x shirts to a regular size large...woo hoo! I would suggest once a month for the measurements. Best of luck!
  10. I think you are doing great! I had the same issue and upped my calories and started losing again, give it a try. Maybe mixing up the exercise routine too will jump start the weight loss again. 2 lbs a week is good I think, less saggy skin when we lose slower!! Best of luck to you.
  11. It happens to all of us. I have lost/gained 2-3 lbs in a weekend...grrrr! Dont worry, it will drop off again soon. I still cant help but weigh myself daily....my one bad habit! Keep up the good work.
  12. Great job Vicki! You are doing fantastic, keep up the good work and best of luck to you!
  13. Not one regret! I feel completely normal at 13 weeks out, like I never had a surgery. I can eat whatever I want ( had a weird experience with a apple a few weeks back but ok with them now!) and know I will be ok cause I cannot eat much at one time. This surgery has completely changed the way I look at food now. I am loving my life...finally!
  14. I am sorry you are back in the hospital Mary. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
  15. Welcome Jodi, I am glad you are doing well. It is all in your attitude for sure, and you sound like you have a great support system. Keep us posted on your journey.
  16. Welcome! I am glad you are doing relatively well. The first 24 hours after surgery are trying for some but you are doing great. Before you know it you will be home.
  17. Yaaay! Best of luck to you. Keep us posted.
  18. You made a perfect choice, I would have not eaten the tortilla but still a good choice...and you can do that at pretty much any restaurant with a little planning, I do it all the time.
  19. I am not sure but I believe I was 5-6 weeks out before I tried one...no issues either.
  20. Yes, dont even look at the scale for at least 2 weeks, dont torture yourself, I would know...I did it! It will be dropping off like crazy before you know it.
  21. I cant remember when I tried salad, I am thinking 5-6 weeks, had no issues at all. I have them all the time now with whatever protein I chose for the day...yum!
  22. Thank goodness that is all it was. Get well soon!
  23. Woo hoo, you are doing fantastic! Congrats to you...keep up the good work! It is a challenge but not too bad for me, I am having a pretty easy time with all this. Sure, we slip every once in a while but who hasent? Get back up on the horse and continue! I will be 13 weeks out tomorrow, 60 lbs gone, 45 since surgery...we are rocking it arent we?
  24. I am so sorry you are feeing this way Amy. Please, dont be so hard on yourself, it will happen and you will succeed, just give it time. I know how you feel, I just hated looking at myself and even getting dressed too, everything looked like a tent to me! Just keep your head up, maybe you can go talk to someone thru your insurance? Your kids need you to be strong and always remember YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!! Please keep us posted on your journey and remember...it will happen! Hugs to you!
