My weight loss is really slow too, I am going to do the shakes as much as I thought I hated them but i lost a good amount of weight so im going to do that before my fill on Thursday, wish me luck!! I was banded 10/7 and I am eating soft foods I did pretty well too kind of sounds like you. Yep I too have that strange port feeling sometimes even still have it, they say they stretch your muscel to attach the port so thats what the discomfort is, its much better then what it was I understand completely. The hunger feeling yep I am the same way too no full feeling at all I am getting filled on 11/10 and sure hope it gets better but they say it ussally takes 4 times to get to that full spot. I was banded on 10/7 I went to my 2 week check up and he wouldnt fill me. He said I am still healing. I go back 11/10 and he said he would fill me then. Most drs I think wait 4-6 weeks depending how your surgery went and how your healing and tolerating food. Good Luck!!

Awe so sweet love it!!! So happy for you and yep I am so with you that the weight really does play a part in my love life too its like gosh how in the world does my hubby find me sexy but he does and now I am down 26 lbs gosh i even feel a little sexier too its a great feeling! Keep up the great work and great job to your hubby too for all the support thats so awesome and really needed! Good for you!

Awe my reaction is what a B!!! But I know from expirance jelousy really sets in when it comes to family I have a sister who is heavy like me and she is doing the HCG diet she has lost 17lbs in 19 days and tosses that in my face all the time about how this program is cheaper and only takes 6 weeks and she ddint have to suffer like I did with the surgery....I can so relate to you 100%. Its hard and Im so sorry she was like that and then to have to read the other comments from everyone else I agree with 'love the new me' because you are better then that and dont need negativity in your life like that no one knows how hard WLS is untill they do it. thats why i love this blog we can all so relate to each other and get the support we need. Keep up the hard work your doing great!!!! take care!

Hello, I got banded on Sept. 23, 2011 so about 2 weeks ago and yes I was sore. The first day was the worst. The next day I walked every hour around my house and I continued to do that for the next couple of days. I think that helped me get past the soreness...good luck

Yep i have been trying to walk more and it slowly is getting better for me as of tonight so i will keep up the walking, thanks!

My preop diet has been for 2 weeks and only allowed 6 shakes and 2 bars and thats it....been really hard! I go get banded on Friday!! Good Luck tommorrow cant wait to hear all about it!!!

Thanks so much Ladies I sure hope it gets easier, I too took some pictures this weekend to help me out like wow you can do this!! These pictures are not what I want to continue to look like, i did the whole tank and shorts pic and it wasnt pretty thats for sure. So thanks for the encouragment it really seems to help when you have someone that can really relate and feel your pain!!

i am excited for you. i am pre surgery but still at the stage where i am going for my doctor visits. i guess take it one day at a time and think of the light at the end of the tunnel; a healthy-thinner you. do you have to do one week or two? i have to do two. i also love food. i eat even when I am full. not sure how that is going to be controlled after the lap band. when is your surgery set for?

I have to do the pre-op for 2 weeks, and im not going to lie its hard but today is day 2 and hopeing every day after this it gets easier. My surgery date is Oct. 7th!! Good Luck to you too!!!

I start on Friday I have surgery on Oct. 7th so i am right with you!! Its a great inspiration to like the others have said Im sure its not going to be easy at all but when its done then we can say yes we did it on to another day!! I need support too!!! Take care and let me know how day 1 goes ok!
