My story is just beginning =) I have been overweight all my life and as far back as I can remember. I have been toying with the idea of gastric bypass and lap-band since I was 18 ( 6 years). I finally got serious this past year and started my journey in February 2011. My insurance started covering lap-band and since I am still young and have a lot of motivation and mostly because I don't want to alter my anatomy in any way, I believe lap-band is the right choice for me to become a healthier individual and live the life I want too. My surgery date is October 7th and I am very excited for the "new" me to emerge.
