  1. Does the tummy gurgling ever stop? Every time I eat a bite, air gurgles up. Does this last forever?
  2. Deviled Eggs? Everyone will eat those!
  3. I am glad to hear that you don't have any trouble w/ popcorn. I am looking forward to eating it someday. And that is a great idea.
  4. I know I wouldn't want to see you poop out of your top.. ROFLOL!
  5. One good workout is to take a noodle and bend it under the water! It really works out your arms. And.. you can pretend your "playing". But seriously, screw them!
  6. Glad you are ok!
  7. Do the beers make you feel bloated or hurt?
  8. I need to start getting up in the early morning and going for a walk before I go back to work. Before it gets hot out! I went today up to the mountains and walked for a couple of miles. We went slow because we had our weiner dog with us. I am glad I did though because I got really tired and dizzy towards the end. It was beautiful up there though. BTW, I can't say enough about MapMyWalk! It is a wonderful app. You never have to wonder how far you've walked again.

I think it is called P90X. There is a thread in here for that.
  10. I have no idea. I don't drink much anymore. BUT for some odd reason, whenever I hear the song "Beverly Hills", it makes me want to drink! Reminds me of my partying days, I guess. Well, that song came on yesterday. My hubby was teasing me about it. I told him I would probably get wasted off of just one shot now.
  11. I wish I have lost 18 pounds! I am jealous!! I was sleeved on the 12th and have lost right around 15. You are doing awesome!
  12. I am with you, sister! I hate my protein shakes. I tried the protein shots and literally dry heaved after drinking a sip. Never again. Up to this point, I haven't been able to get in all my protein. I am determined to do it though! I bought some Atkins shakes that only have 15 grams in them, but I figure I will add these in w/ my foods and I am bound and determined to hit the 70 grams of protein mark that my NUT set up for me. Atkins shakes may not be the best protein drink out there, but I am able to handle it so I am going to stick to these.
  13. My Dr. said that mashed potatoes were allowed in the beginning because of the fact that we could eat a lot. Later on, we should cut those out because of carb content.
  14. This is a confusing topic for me too.. seems like too many contradicting ideas. But the same is pretty much true for all the pre-op/post-op diets too. I am just drinking small sips at a time. If it doesn't hurt me, I figure it is fine. It does take me a long time to finish a glass though. One thing it seems like is I am ALWAYS thirsty and it doesn't seem to go away.
  15. I very often without even realizing it, find myself watching food porn on TV.
  16. I had my surgery on June 12th. I was sent home with a drain tube. (I think it is called a JP Drain) It is basically a long plastic tube about the size of a straw. It is connected to a plastic bulb. The bulb looks to me like the bulb they squeeze when they are taking your blood pressure to make the arm band tighten. It is a clear plastic. I don't know exactly what it is draining but the Fluid is a pink/yellow color. It has a little cap that you can remove and you squeeze out the liquid each morning/evening. Mine was scheduled to be taken out on the 28th. I didn't want to wait that long because it is embarassing to go anywhere. It was hard to conceal mine. I didn't want to leave the house. Mine was draining barely anything so I called the office and asked if I could remove it sooner. They got me in that day (22nd I believe) and removed it.
  17. The removal of mine did not hurt one bit either.
  18. I thought they were pain, nausea and fever but I am not 100%. If he did a test, hopefully you are safe.

    Lori, Good luck on Tuesday!
  20. I hope you don't have a leak!
  21. Well.. the calcium citrate powder says it is tasteless, but yesterday I took in in water and dry heaved. It is a gross salty flavor. I do have the chewables but I am on the blended diet.. do you think it would be ok to eat these if I chewed it really well?
  22. My Dr. said to take calcium w/ food so I guess I am just thinking I need to take them all with food. I will try to space them out a little more.
  23. So I have a list of vitamins I need to take. I was told by my Dr. office that I can start taking them now. Today was my first day. I took my vitamins this morning and became so nauseous that I actually threw up. How do I take them with my meal? After taking the ones I should have w/ breakfast, I have no room for a meal. Here is what I took: Liquid Multi Sublingual B12 B50 pill Prilosec pill Biotin pill Co Enzyme Q 10 pill Calcium citrate powder in about 4 oz apple juice After all of this, I needed to eat but didn't have any room so I just ate a slice of cheese. When I became sick, nothing came up but liquid. My Dr. told me to take the vitamins at meal times. If I take them before the meal, I have no room. If I eat first, I will have to wait 45 minutes to drink so then I wouldn't be taking the pills w/ a meal. Anyone have any suggestions what would help alleviate the nausea?
  24. Dang, girlie... you are doing so good!!
  25. I want to try them but I still have my steri strips on..wonder if it would hurt anything
