Yes I was on soft foods, such as eggs and cheese. My doc put me on them bf I even left the hospital. But onviously I couldnt down them very well. When dehydrated I had a dry mouth/lips, dark urine, disoriented, no energy, dizzy, lightheaded, faint, headaches. Im sure there was more I just cant think right now. They are also going to keep me tonight. Yay not! I just feel so sick and tired. I havent ate in 4days. They did give me a bag of a multi vitamen iv.... But is that good enough. And I do want to eat but im scared to, because of the pain.

I had surgery last friday. And as of two days ago im back in the hospital do to dehydration. I was trying to keep up with fluids and had a huge bottle of water next to me sipping as often as I could but it just wasnt enough. But they also are observing how.much im eating. Im not sure if it was normal but due to severe paon when eating r drinking protien shakes I focused more on liqueds so they are also keeping me until I.can get more food down. Has anyone had pain when swallowing, where when the food hit your stomach it felt like you were punched and you could hardly breath,? it last's maybe a few seconds but it is enough to scare me from eating. Is this normal or maybe my sleeve is to tight? Advice plz! I wanna go home!

Im so nervous and scared that I will mess up, that im not informed enough. I have a surgeon that will put me on soft solids the second day btw, im having mixed feelings about that. Im worried about a leak, and the pain, and not being able to slow down my food eating habits. Im worried ill still feel sooooo hungry all the time. And I wont beable to tell whats head hunger. Sorry to vent... I know rationally the pain will subside and my sleeve will help me knoe how much is to much and how fast is too fast. And if I get a leak eventually ill be fine. And I will figure it out. But im just so nervous. But in the end its all worth it... Right? *scardy face*

I dont mind lying, and there are many others that can represent the sleeve community. But im only 220 many on here dont have to defend theyre choice because " oh your not that heavy just stop bein lazy diet n excersize " I dont feel bad for my choice cancer fits many symptoms that we will have. Nausea, hairloss, weightloss, poop problems.... Sry if I offended anyone who is holier than I.. But im not truley hurting you am I? Or anyone else for that matter.....

I have the same, except my surgeon can cancel the surgery of I gained more then five pounds before surgery... I gained 10 help. My sugery is the 22nd I need to loose fast

They have a new apple juice where one 8ounce cup is 5cal. Forgot the brand tho.

I havent had my surgery. And honestly I have no big morals against lying... And to anyone whos not important to me def. I told my family and closest friend besides that, such as coworkers I told the I have a tumor its gonna be removed this date, possibly chemo after (hair loss and weight loss explained) ive had cancer also before, and maybe this makes me a bad person. But hey itll get everyone off my ass with all their questions once I have the surgery. Bein fat is my cancer

You can have children, in fact it most likley will increase fertility. Though it is best to wait about a year after surgery. Good luck and dont worry. And tell ur friend to do more research before scaring the **** outta people lol

Im also a recovering alcoholic and I have talked to my doc, my sponser and we are all coming up with a plan to prevent a relapse because of course i went from alcohol to food and do not want to go back. Its going to be one day at a time, but if we keep working the program we should be fine

Theres a surgery called the duodenal switch. Its a step up from the sleeve. They literally switch your intestines around after cutting out a large portion of your stomach. Less chance or little at all of dumping syndrome. But 98% effective of curing diabetes numero dos! sry practicing my spanish latley. But this is all what i got from my doctor. It is more invasive then the sleeve. But It seems better to me than the bypass. It is a surgery that can cause malabsortion tho.

Call ur doc asap, could be a leak. If its still that severe in a couple hours I would go to the er... Better safe than sry. Specially if its sudden and u havent had any other problems so far. Whens the last time u pooped, consipation can be a b***h

Since I have no pre op diet restrictions I am going to eat all my favorite meals bf surgery! Ending with crab leg buffet.... Mmmmmm! Ive also been trying a couple of tge protien drinks, they all taste like crap. I love juice... Does anyone know of any that taste like juice or at least any that taste good? What about the unflavored, is it really "unflavored"?
