Can I Get Pregnant?

Read on here that someone's mom was against the sleeve because she couldn't have kids. Is this true?? I've never heard such a thing. Please help. I just had the surgery done and I have no kids. And this would break my heart.

You can absolutely get pregnant after the sleeve. It is usually recommended not to until you reach your goal weight and your doctor clears you. Getting nutrients in while pregnant will need to be the focus but it is definitely possible.

My surgeon had me sign a form stating that I understood that I should wait 2 years before having kids. You should check with your suregon about when it is ok for you to start trying, but yes---you can have babies with a sleeve.

My surgeon was pretty similar to Texarcolina in that I had to sign that I understood that it would not be safe to get pregnant for 18 months after my surgery. As a matter of fact I think I had to sign 3...one for the nut, one for registration at the hosp and one for the doc. So, yes babies are possible.
