I haven't lost one single pound since November 2012... I'm down to 180 and stuck there... I do have dumping syndrome and use it so I won't feel constipated.... Do y think my body is on shut down mode? I've been a year post op as of may 29th! I'm down 80 lbs! Any advice would be appreciated.

Was sleeved may 29th and have lost 48 lbs so far... I know about the break... But I can't get passed 215!!! I hit 215.8, then .4, then .0, then back to .8. I'm frustrated. Is this normal for me to gain ounces? Help!

Hi all! This is so random and I will ask my doctor but for now I'm sure you guys know the answer to this question. Is getting a leak a risk only immediately after surgery. Or can leaks happen anytime for the rest of your life? I was sleeved on may 29... I'm down 36 lbs. I had no leaks even though I was a very complicated case. My dr told me that for sure I'd have a leak and prepared me. However he took his time and did a great job and I had no leaks nor complications. But can leaks still occur in me? Any feedback would help. Thanks.

I'm so glad that we have such a big group in ca!!!! I was sleeved in Glendale on may 29. I'm 23 lbs down in almost three weeks!! If anyone in ca needs anything, please feel free to ask!!!

Read on here that someone's mom was against the sleeve because she couldn't have kids. Is this true?? I've never heard such a thing. Please help. I just had the surgery done and I have no kids. And this would break my heart.

Sorry for what I'm about to say... On my first band I lost 200 lbs in a year before getting very sick. I was 98 lbs and my hoo ha looked so ugly!! It was droopy and loose. And yes this fit better but the skin was just gross. When I got fat again... It regained shape!! So it is what it is! If anyone's gonna judge by that then buh bye to them! U and ur hoo ha are beautiful now and still will be then!

I'm sorry to hear about what you are going thru! I had a horrible experience before as well...I have had the band in and out 3 times... Your time will come... maybe this is better... i wanted to be sleeved and have the last band removed at the same time as well... but the doctor told me that if he did that, my chances of a leak were very high because of all the damage i have inside of me!!! I just want you to know that id rather wait than to suffer a leak. i read someone's experience of a leak on here, and cried for them. I'm glad our surgeons are making smart decisions rather than wrong ones just to make money and be done with it. Ill keep you in my prayers... Goodluck!

I just had surgery on the 29th... I was self pay, and it cost me 18,500 cash... in California! Goodluck to you tomorrow!

I had three bands done in Mexico and almost died. It's not worth the risk for me. Nor you. Your life is worth it.

It's not good or bad. I had the lap band put in an taken out three times prior to this. He did this so my staples heal properly. I'm a very risky case and my chances of a leak are very very high.

I had the revision done on the 29th. And I'm already a lot better. I paid 18500. I'm self pay but my surgeon was the best.

I have an update!!! I had the drain removed today!! No pain!! However it did feel very weird!!!! However to quick to feel really!!! Thanks to everyone who answered.
