  4. your looking great keep it up!!... im in that 3rd week post op and i am at a slight stall ugh! so its nice to see how others have done great work!!!!
  5. thats definitely a great alternative... i use a liquid vitamin and mineral supplement that greatly increases the absorption of the vitamins. I think they are great because I just put the drops in my shakes and dont have to worry about not getting my vitamins in. http://ambayagold.com/super-conductive_vitamins.html
  6. hey Kerri! I had the exact same reaction to either the bandaid or spray that they used because I had blisters around my incisions where the adhesive was. I just gently put neosporin on the blisters and they disappaited. They turned into scabs and are gone now... I also stopped covering my incisions about 7 days out.. I think that really helped. I am glad to hear that your feeling better and every week its so great to start on new foods again!
  7. Fleur LOL that was pretty funny.. the whole and a fork thing!!! good one! my husband and i went out for dinner the other day and im on the mushie stage too... I really didnt want yet another Soup so i ordered the chili that is supposed to go on the nachos and the waitress was a little confused but then i explained that i would like the chili in a bowl without nachos etc. I got my order and when we looked at the bill my chili came to only 2.99!!! Ima cheap date now!! yay!
  8. hey! LIMARP is great I was very happy with everything! The staff was excellent and I felt very comfortable being there congrats on choosing the sleeve!! I'm 15 days out of surgery and I'm feeling great! I love the sleeve they made for me... I am absolutely satisfied with how everything went!
  9. hey everyone!! I'm there woot woot! I forgot to update that from about a week ago but I'm here now! I'm at 196 as of yesterday! 71lbs to go til I'm at goal!

  11. thanks everyone!!!... im definitely pleased thus far with how things are going!!
  12. carbination causes alot of gas in our small tummies.. They say you can introduce it back in if you want but it might be uncomfortable.. I wouldn't know because I too am on my mushies so I'm not one to preach.
  13. HEY EVERYONE!!! today is my two week surgiversary and i have lost 18lbs so far!! :cheer2: Im loving my sleeve although im anxious to get on to real foods soon .... I am pretty happy with my results so far.. i want to take advantage of all of the losses as much as i can because i know there will be an inevitable stall coming my way soon... at least i hope not but i am getting mentally prepared for it!!! ... im only 2lbs away from TWENTY and it feels so good to know it will come off and then some... i just have to wait to see the results!! I hope everyone is having a great day today... i know that sometimes things may get rough but we can all Celebrate our small and big accomplishments!! xoxoxo
  14. i was sleeved on the first and was back to work on the 7th ... i did not feel like this was an unattainable time to get back into the real world.. i just didnt baby myself and I was definitely a little fatigued but it is absolutely possible and doable... just really depends on how you presonally feel!! on the 3rd i walked around a large outside mall and went to a movie.. i find if your mobile and get up and do some walking around your recovery is potentially alot faster ... but this all depends on how you look at it
  15. i would have to say that this is pretty normal .... its a part of the healing process.. its your body repairing tissue and it creates an itchy feeling! hope it goes away sooner rather than later for you!
  16. OMG... im going to be honest because I was really hoping it wouldnt be that bad but my experience was just insane!! nothing out of the ordinary he just took it out but i screamed so loud im sure the whole wing heard me!! ... it hurt me a little bit but the feeling of all of your organs being shifted by a foreign body really freaked me right out!! I have been told that its different for everyone so hang in there.. once its out its out and you dont ever have to worry about it again!!!! <3
  17. hang in there girl!!!!... enjoy the process and remember how hard you worked to get to the point where you can introduce food back into your system!
  18. i think today i will be lucky to hit 300 calories which sorta scares me but im sure it will get better... i just had some jello about a 2cm by 2cm square and i was done!!!
  19. yes me too... when i smell something bad... i smell it!! lol!
  20. i had my surgery a week ago today... and i went back to work yesterday... i was totally fine and functional.. I also could not afford to take that much time off and i dont regret going back because i feel normal going back... i dont want to feel laid up longer then i have to... i do attribute my feel good because i walked ALOT post surgery... HOWEVER .. there is a little fatigue so just be careful!
  21. So, today and part of yesterday I have been almost repulsed by food... im still in my clear liquid phase until tomorrow and i had made up some jello last night for the next day and when i pulled it out to eat i had a small bite and was repulsed, I looked at the broth that i had put aside for the day and was repulsed. I was able to manage to have some broth at lunch and brought the rest home (went to a restaurant with mom) and now its around dinner time.. AND im repulsed by heating it up and eating it!!! what the heck! today is officially one week since my surgery... anyone else feeling like this?
  22. ms sparkle-- glad that the rough patch for you is clearing!!! Im one week out now guys.. and as of wednesday i have lost 12lbs!! this is the best thing we could ever do for ourselves!! cheering for all of the soon to be sleevers!! you can do it!!
  23. your doing great!!! keep up the great work girl!!!
  24. OK OK OK!!!.... first of all... to everyone who has not had the sleeve yet... DO NOT BE ALARMED!!! we all recover differently from the surgery and you may have bouts of nausea, acid reflux, inability to get all of your fluids in, weakness etc etc etc HOWEVER... coming from someone who has just got off of the boat in regards to surgery, i would have to say that my experience has not been an easy one but it surely is DOABLE! Tomorrow I will be one week out of surgery and I have not had any nausea what so ever and today i have been able to get in about 30 oz or 1L of Water thus far! Im 22 and Im not sure if age has a factor but i would have to say that i am starting to really love my sleeve!! last night i weighed myself for the first time and i have already lost a total of 12lbs!! im 202 now and seeing that number really had me elated. I have been doing alot of walking around since about my 2nd day out of surgery and today im back at work functioning! dont be discouraged it is difficult but not impossible
  25. I'm not going to lie, I was so shocked but elated all at once!
