You are not going to feel full until about the third fill. It is not about being full its about being satisfied. You are going to be hungry that is a mis conception that you will never be hungy

Well can you afford to live without eating. Is the band that important that you would rather maybe not live and leave your husband and children then be able to be healthy.

Stuck & Frustrated
Why would you think that you would never reach a plateu in weight loss with the band. If you are that much filled what are you going to do months, years from now when you have no room to put any more fills. Try increasing your calories and stop thinking about fills. You have to live with this thing the rest of your life and when you are completely full then what are you going to do when you are stuck or can eat whatever you want.

My band is choking me and no one will listen
So why are you playing around with the clinic. Go to the emergency room and get checked out and insist you are not leaving until they do something.

Please advice is needed for what's going on with me.
I really think you should be calling your doctor tomorrow and asking him or her all these questions. What may be normal for some might not be for you.

food sits in upper stomach.
Food only stays in your pouch less than a minute. The digestion process starts as soon as food reaches the stomach. You are probably eating too fast and it isnt having time to go through the pouch and backing up in to your esophagus. Slow down and take at least a half hour to eat. Its important.

Would you get a fill if...
As long as you are losing weight I would not get a fill. No one realizes that the band is for life and if you get filled up what else do you have to work with. If it keeps going down dont get a fill. Weight loss is supposed to be slow. A half a pound a week is 52lbs in a year.

Some questions to other bandsters
I wouldnt be depending on soups because that theory of eating and drinking at the same time is that with soup. You have to learn to eat with your band and not rely on soup all the time. I dont see how eating soup you can get enough protein. You really have to eat slow and chew well and you can eat meat without it getting stuck. You have to remember your stoma is only the size of a dime so that is what the food has to pass through.

Restless Leg Syndrome
I have had it for almost 30 years. I take klonopin before bed time but also calcium and magnesium before bed time helps tremendously. I researched until I found it. I use viactiv but since it is for women you might want to use some other form of calcium but take at leat 1000 mg of calcium and 400 of magnesium. It has really helped me. I know its terrible to have this and mirapex did nothing for me. I have been on these supplements for quite some time now and sleep so well. Try it but give it a couple of weeks. Magnesium is pretty small to swallow and I would get some chewable calcium as they tend to be big and eat something with it because it helps the magnesium absorb. I usually eat yogurt with it just to help with absoprtion. I have found this combination to be the most helpful for me. Also if you take antihistamines like benydril it tends to increase rls activity. Good luck and I hope it helps you,.

Finally Told Someone!!!
First of all why would you tell your best friend first and not your husband who is supposed to be your best friend. I would think he is more important than your best friend who doesnt even know what the lap band is

Are fills painful?
Stop watching You Tube the needle has to be long to access the port. It doesnt hurt and if your doctor numbs you then that is really stupid because by the time you get numb he could be done with the fill
-
ALLI tablets
Why would you need Alli it removes fat from the food you eat and you should be on a low fat diet. Your body has to have some fat to sustain. Why have surgery when you could have just used that SMDH
-
fizzy drinks
If you are hearing these things it should be from you Dr. not that Im hearing I cant have carbonated beverages ever again. You are not supposed to drink carbonated beverages because it can stretch out the pouch. You should be asking your doctor all the questions you need answers too

I need some advise please :(
If you are getting stuck all the time you have restriction you just dont realize it. You cant be getting food stuck all the time and not have restriction you are just eating too much. Are you really hungry or just want to eat that is the question.
-
I need some advise please :(
You can not live off of 6 or 7 bites of food you will become malnutritioned for sure. You probably are eating too much and even though you can eat as much as you want you have to stop that. You are not going to lose weight if you continue to eat how ever much you want. Thats why I dont understand why people get all filled up right after surgery. It should be done in small increments now that you are so full you have nothing left to work with and your not even a year post op. You have the rest of your life with the band how will you manage when you are already full.

Still Hungry?
why are you only eating a 1/2 cup of food? Is it because you cant eat more than that or that is what people say you should eat? You need to eat at least a cup to a cup and a half of food per meal. I dont know who started the 1/2 cup business but its not enough to sustain good nutrition.

Heartburn
Yes you can take antacids. Were you on them before surgery? Usually you still take them for a month after then stop to see if your acid reflux is under control
-
Having to take piercings out
Yes you have to remove all piercings before surgery. You can not have any jewelry on incase something happens.

Does this Sound Right?
Everyone and every day is different according to how the band is acting that particular day. Some days I cant eat til dinner and just do shakes some days Im okay with breakfast, lunch and dinner usually a cup or two depending on how my band is acting. But I agree bacon and chicken strips are not a good choice of food. If you want bacon eat turkey bacon and stay away from the fried foods.

Not Happy at All...
Maybe you are still swollen from the fill. I had to be on liquids for three weeks this last fill because my stomach is super sensitive. You might just need to stop worrying about eating right now and get fluids in. Call your doctor on monday
