  1. There was alot of people who went by themselves and had the suport of the other patients at the clinic. When I went, I started a forum post with the date I was going and asked people who were going to be there the same time. I got several responses and knew some people before I arrived. I also made new friends while I was there and we exchanged emails.
  2. Congatulations! What a blessing! I can't help with the asprin issue, I just thought what a nice way to start my day by hearing of a baby to be born.
  3. I had one for my hysterectomy and I feel my recovery was easier and faster because I was able to exercise for a longer durration. After it was taken out I didn't exercise as much and got fatigued faster.
  4. I'm praying that you'll be feeling better soon.
  5. I heaved the first 2 days after surgery and hadn't any leaks. Although I don't recomend pushing the sleeve you can see that 2 days of vomitting didn't hurt it, so it is durable. I also agree with Lissa in trying to not get to the full feeling, you'll be happier in the long run.
  6. I have had issues with hot cocoa. It's good to know that I can try again next year.
  7. Wow! You are such a inspiration! I want to be like you when I grow down.
  8. I had a bananna jamba juice smoothe day 4 after surgery. I could not eat it all, but it was good and it didn't hurt my sleeve.
  9. I had the same thing last week. yuk. Get well soon!
  10. sometimes after surgery the hunger feeling is need of liquids or antacids
  11. I picked a weight I was after the birth of my first born.
  12. I had this conversation with my husband. He asked out of fear of loss of my life from surgery. Then I asked him to remember any meal we had togeather, if I ate a lot? He feels I ate like a bird before surgery ( he is a man that can eat what ever he wants and still has the 32 inch waist from high school ) . I told him that I was always hungry. I was always trying to keep the weight off and I thought of food as one should think of God. No one should be tortured like that. VSG takes away the desire to fill up. It's such a pleasure to wake up in the morning and not want to hunt and kill the refridgerator.
  13. You're in single digit clothes now! Way to go!
  14. Hi, it's good to see you on site. I still have problems with food ( 2 bite max ). Right now I am trying to keep hydrated because I am sick. I hope all is well with you
  15. Of course you have my best wishes! I went to Mexico for my sleeve and it feels like a new adventure, and when I came back I was a changed women lol.
  16. Here's to second chances with left overs. You can get it down to a sience on what's the most important to eat then write it down on next year's calender. Best wishes
  17. I'm looking forward to loosing the brick feeling. My weight is going down a lot faster right now ( plus ). I think most of the weight is the hair I'm loosing, lol ( minus ). I caught a flu and all that intails last night. I am concerned about getting dehydrated. It takes all day to drink 64 oz. Thanks for responding you are an insperation to me!
  18. Thank you, I had gotten hot sweats anytime I had real hot cocoa or drank milk I had become lactose intolerent. I hope this is temporary, I'd love to have a big glass of milk. It helps to know I'm not alone in this and still love my sleeve.
