I Can Not Stop Eating! Uuugh
Going through it right now. I just got through saying how I was ravenous today and can't seem to stop. Even though I've made good choicesI don't see anything wrong with the occasional treat. It's not like we PMS and gorge on fatty carbs everyday. Sometimes you gotta give your body what it ask for. And it's very true in my case, as soon as it goes off my stomach shrinks back to its tiny size. I guess that explains all the horrible cramping I now experience ;0(

Overeacting?
I don't think you're overreacting. Your friend should have never said a word. I wouldn't hesitate to talk to both of them.

What Is Your Goal Weight ?!
My surgery was March 20, 2012. I'm 5'6 1/2 and highest weight was 396. I'm now 298 (yay!!!) My surgeons goal for me is 233 (say what) my goal for myself is 175. I picked this number b/c I'm solid and carry my weight as such. Most people couldn't believe I weighed 400 pounds when I did cause I carried it pretty well. I do not want to be skinny, I want to hold on to the curves in my figure ;0)

Anyone Else Not Qualify For Fmla?
I didn't qualify for FMLA but my job offered "medical leave". I was approved to take 6 weeks off where they protected my job. It was only allowed once your first year but then FMLA kicks in after that. I even received short term disability benefits. Check with HR and se if you have any other options.

Reconstructive Surgery With Umr
I was sleeved March 20, 2012 after getting approval from Cigna. I know that they would have covered medically necessary reconstructive surgery but I just started a new job with new insurance. I now have UMR and was wondering if anyone has ever gone from one insurance carrier that approved and covered the sleeve to a different insurance company for the reconstructive surgery?

Mulitvitamins Make Me Sick!
I couldn't stomach the chewable so my surgeon told me to take capsules. I can get them down ok but have to take them with food or else I'll get nauseous.

Miss My Soda
I have sipped a soda out of curiosity and I did not like how it felt going down. I am however hooked on the low calorie G2 Gatorade in orange. I put it in the freezer and let it get all slusshy...so good.

I wish I didn't think about food lol. The head hunger is torture. I even find mysf physically hunger more often than I think I should. I'm not gonna freak out b/c I have lost 87 lbs in 18 weeks I just hope it doesn't prove to be a big problem for me down the road.

Could This Be Linked To Wls?
Has anyone heard that proctitis (inflammation of the lining of the anus) and or hemorrhoids could be linked to WLS? I'm just wondering if it's possible for gastric juices to leak through the rectum and cause irritation. I know it's gross but I can't seem to find any other reason and my PCP is pretty stumped too.

Any Of You Girls...
I ONLY lose after it goes away. That means I have a three week stall EVERY month and then lose 10-15 lbs that last week of the month. It's weird but my nutritionist said it wasnt uncommon.

Going Crazy Over Vitamins
I could never stomach the chewable so my surgeon moved me to capsules at 7 weeks post op. I use Celebrate Multi, Calcium Plus, Iron with Vit C and B-12 (sublingual). My surgeon says these are the better quality vitamins for bariatric patients then what you can get in store especially the first year post op. I know I could get some that are less expensive at GNC but I'm willing to hold off until after my 12 month labs. Celebrate even has a flavored mix that you put into water that includes the Multi and Calcium for those that are intrested.

Sleeve Vs. Lapband
I started my weight loss journey with the LapBand in mind. My surgeon honestly told me that with a BMI as high as mine that I would not be satisfied with the results I would have gotten with the Band. He suggested the Sleeve, gave me some information, and sent me home to research and decide for myself. To me the sleeve is the best option (for me at least) b/c the weight loss will be almost as quick as the bypass without the side effects. I am 15 weeks out and 85 lbs down and I feel great!!! Keep doing your research, I'm sure you'll make the right decision for you.

One Day Pre-Op On Magnesium Citrate
My surgeon required a three week pre-op diet. It helped get me focused on life after being sleeved.

Regret
I was the exact same way. I had a really hard time after surgery adjusting physically and mentally. I had many conversations with myself where I question my own sanity. I am almost 15 weeks out and I feel 110% better. As time goes on you'll continue to feel better. It may not feel like it now but it will. Just hang in there.
