  1. CONGRATS!!! i just went to my upper gi follow up today! i have a 6 month supervised diet. today was my 2nd nutritionist appt so i have 4 more to go!! ive done everything so far: •bloodwork •upper gi •psych eval •sleep study i just need to do my cardiologist visit but thats not until the 4th month. i cant wait to get it all over with!
  2. i figure thats why i was told to ask my dr to prescribe me asprin so that i wouldnt qualify for bypass. i always have back pain & headaches so i know for sure id never be a good candidate for bypass. i found out that my insurance does cover vsg, thank goodness!!!
  3. ive had a few drs tell me the same & others say different. :/ more insurances r covering vsg so i dont think many ppl will need to go with this sort of technique.
  4. hey irene, welcome! congrats on your date. we cant wait to hear about your experience! keep us posted.
  5. yayyyy! im so happy for you. congrats! get well soon hun.
  6. oooh! i went for my consultation for that yesterday! i should be having it done next week. what was it like?
  7. i am in the beginning process of my pre op diet but ive done a lot of research. i dont think its anything to be worried about. if im not mistaking, you have to stay on the meds for a while before you stop getting it. id say, ask your dr how long it will last but im sure its much longer than where you are now. maybe buy a pill box with days of the week? or set an alarm in your phone reminding you to take them? place it next to your tooth brush or hair brush? im sorry :/ these are the only things i could think of. good luck, let us know what your doc says.
  8. update us on how you have been doing. i hope all is well.

  16. well, this scared me. lol. it definitely sounds worse than having my gall bladder removed. i woke up from my gall bladder surgery and didnt feel an ache or pain. i woke up super chatty and felt well rested. it was funny seeing my mom and boyfriend because they looked worried. i felt like i couldve gotten up & ran a marathon....... UNTIL i actually got up. it was mostly discomfort. but geez, he said a sword! eeeee. i dont know.. im not much of a ninja! i dont do well with swords. lol.
  17. lol thats funny!! i cant wait for mine. i dont sleep well on my back but i guess i will have to give it a try! did u get ur results back on whether you have sleep apnea or not?
  18. you know, i never thought of that. i keep counting as if im going to be sleeved the following week or so after my 6month visit. now im sad lol

  20. wow! you guys are just amazing! lol i literally am shocked everytime someone posts their weight. youre doing so good! i am so inspired and anxious to get this surgery done!!! great job faye! keep it up.
  21. congrats on your surgery date!! thats 1 day shy of 3 weeks, i think you will be FINE! as much walking as tolerated. make sure to get all your Proteins & Water. you may have some discomforts so maybe invest a little on stretch pants so that you are comfy. nothing tight on the waist. maybe some nice flats (for comfort). a pillow to sit on at work (for comfort). good luck! keep us updated on everything
