  1. i was thereeee!!! lol. it reminded me of a time that i was on a strict diet & it was my "cheat day". i went to the chinese buffet and i literally MOANED with each bite. my boyfriend at the time was embarrassed but i couldnt help it! lol. now thats REAL food porn lol
  2. congrats!! i had surgery dec 20th. shakes absolutely REPULSE me & i have not drank any since surgery. the thought alone makes me want to vomit!!! im now on pureed foods & im tolerating food ok but i am very gassy (belching) & some nausea when i first wake up. after getting in some fluids & something in my sleeve, i start feeling a lil better.
  3. i am post op & i have head hunger like no other!!! lately, ive been craving a BIG MAC with fries! imagine that.. a BIG MAC! lol. id be able to eat for a month from a big mac! lol. i also crave mac & cheese with fried chicken, pizza, cheesy bread sticks dipped in garlic, a ham & cheese & tomato wedge with lots of mayo, baked ziti with buscuits. lol! crazy stuff. what does your head crave? when did you finally fill that craving?

  6. im almost 2 weeks post op & i too am seeking the "normal" feeling. its all i want. as far as incision pain, i still have some. at first it was mostly my belly button incision but now its the right one on the left side. i didnt experience too much nausea but when i do, its usually in the morning when i first wake up. after getting in my Vitamins & my prilosec, i feel a lil better! good luck!!

  8. makes sense. another good question... of course not right away but... what about drinking before & drinking after? like imagine going to a restaurant setting & u have a drink with a meal...will i eventually be able to sip before or sip after?
  9. im praying thats not your case!!! im sorry to have scared you but im not one of those "tell you what it is you want to hear".. i like to be honest and fwd and let people know about things ive seen since maybe u havent. if you know what the insurance company is, go ahead & give them a ring & see what they say! if it is another year, take that year to prep yourself for whats to come. i had a 6 month process and i thought to myself, "omg 6 months is 1/2 a year!!!!" but it fleeeeew! i was sleeved dec 20th. hang in there <3
  10. why r u guys watering down the mashed potatos? as long as its soft, isnt it ok? lol. i had some today
  11. welcome!! this place will be ur bestfriend for awhile!!! from research that ive done, you may have an issue. ive read before that u would have to be working for the company for a year to get the option to have bariatric surgery. now, that was that persons case so you should check that out. also, you will def need to start seeing ur pcp & as far as referral, u can have ur gyn release ur medical history & have ur primary write the letter. i believe it needs to be from ur primary dr.
  12. i think at this point, i look at shakes like i look at poop. the smell is bad but even if i didnt smell it, i know its still going in my mouth. i haaaaaaaate that i feel this way. but i really do. :/
  13. im not a fan of chocolates or vanillas so its hard to drink shakes. very hard. im praying to get on mushies soon so i could start getting in some type of nutrients. :/
  14. awww!!! im thankful that i can get my liquids down but the shakes r my enemy!
  15. it really does take an emotional toll. today i woke up feeling weak. im sipping on Powerade zero for some electrolytes to keep me hydrated. last night, i couldnt sleep much. i tossed & turned all night. pain meds stopped working & i couldnt find a comfortable position. its hard. im pushing through it tho.
  16. im afraid to try any Protein out of fear that im going to just throw up. just the word protein makes me sick! i have muscle milk sitting in my fridge & powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury that i havent tried cuz im scared to throw up. i threw up one time & that pain is unlike any other!!!! its depressing but im trying to keep focused
