  3. Congratulations Sheila!
  4. I'm approved!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Visit this website and you should get a good start to your appeal. http://www.obesitylaw.com/faq.php
  6. I have some notes that I can send you, what was the reason for they gave for the denial?
  7. Wow! I didn't know they would call. I hope they have my number....
  8. Now you know you have started something right? How long did it take you to get "the letter".:paranoid
  9. Congratulations! I hope to join you soon!
  10. Care coordination called me this morning. They contacted my doctor's office and have now received the paperwork. The waiting begins.....again....
  11. Perhaps that is the local and toll free?:cry
  12. 801-567-5499 Predetermination fax. UHC received my paperwork on the March 3. I just feel that since they used to recieve them via mail, they should have contacted Care Coordination, given the information and had care coordination to contact my doctor to tell them to fax it instead. I have just wasted 6 weeks.
  13. :clap2: I just found out through care coordination they no longer accept clinical paperwork in the mail. It should be faxed directly from your doctors office to them! Have your Doctors office call care coordination at 877-842-3210 M-F 6a-6p to get your approval or denial. Same day in most cases. Care coordination stated it was too much of a "paper trail" with the mail ins. I should here something in 24 hours. I hope this helps someone else as well.
  14. I'm here. I contacted the care coordinating department which had no record of "reviewing my case". My doctors office mailed it certified. I had to go back to customer service, irrate, and my case is now at the rapid resolution department and I was told by Gerad to allow now 3-5 business days more. I'm tired ya'll.
  15. May I have the phone number you called? Thanks!
  16. Got you! Just seemed the drs. Would have had that 5 year info before time so that you wouldn't have to wait even more. You will be fine! Welcome to the waiting bench!
  17. Who called, the Dr or UHC? How soon from the time the paperwork was resubmitted was it before you got the phone call this morning?
  18. :clap2: I agree strongly!
  19. I knew she wasn't going to say anything in that book! Sale gimmick!:cry
  20. She looks fantastic, from the neck down!
  21. Gee at list you can call an actual case manager. At UHC I can't even talk to them. I get my information from customer service from the care coordinator.
  22. I'm sitting too! I called UHC yesterday to find out 30 days meant working days. Should know something by APril 16th. I know that is not long but....
  23. Hi all! I was in the store yesterday and saw Starr Jones-Reynolds new look and information about new her show on the cover of several magazines. Has she ever admitted other than a Medical interventiopn changing her life" that she has has some form of WLS considering she went from 303 to 124 lbs? She looks great, I'm just curious.:rolleyes
  24. I think the pound a day is more likely with gastric bypass. Lap band is a more "normal" weight loss process.
  25. Congratulations Sheila! I guess I'll keep waiting on that call from our Dr.!
