The only thing I ever heard about Star was that on Larry King Live, she announced that she had weight-loss surgery for medical reasons. She made it clear that her decision was personal and that in no way did she mislead viewers to thinking she lost weight through eating healthfully and exercising regularly. Hmmm

I did see the Larry King interview where she admitted to medical intervention and that she couldn't lose that much weight through diet and exercise. I am glad she looks good. She did have plastic surgery as well.

Just an FYI...Star Jones had gastric bypass. I saw it told on a an entertainment show a couple years ago or so. Of course, she looks great, but it's very sad that she became a diva since she lost so much weight, her personality seriously changed due to the dramatic weight loss.

I agree. I really hate to say that I liked her better before. I dont even think she looks that great! Well her body looks great, but her head looks to big now or something.

She looks skeletal to me, with her head being way too large for her body. She looked better when she was heavy, to be honest. Not at her heaviest, right before she had surgery, but the way she looked at the beginning of The View.

:phanvan I think she looks great. She lost a whole person. Of course she is going to look different. We ( people on this site) she be supportive. This is how people will talk about us once we lose all our weight. Just think about it.

She has lost alot of weight for sure but I think she is too thin now. Her face and features look like they are meant to be on a somewhat heavier person, like she should weight 140 or more instead of 124. It just looks weird.

I think health was the biggest issue for her. Hopefully, her health issues were resolved or at least improved since her weight loss.

So true...I really like Star Jones. I sent her an email right after she left the view and received a very nice reply. I think she's a DIVA!!

Be blessed!

Hi, I really like Star also, and I think we on this site should be the last to criticize her. We have all struggled with our weight, so really we should have more compassion and understanding. If she wants to keep her surgery private that is her right! Go Star!:clap2:

I agree that we should be supportive especially on this site, but she really doesn't look better to me!

Gosh... now i am feeling bad. Your right. The surgery did save her life and that is what I am always saying... WLS is wonderful... is can save your life!

Hi Angie, The surgery has saved her life Angie! That is more important than whether or not she looks better to people I would imagine. Susannah

That's the important thing! It's bad enough when the fashion industry degrades people that are heavy, now the heavy are are doing the degrading. Not cute.

I agree, noone should put someone else down. I think it may have something to do with how I or you felt about her before. I am not personally a fan of hers, so I suppose I look at her and try to find fault, but yes it is life saving for so many...
